Be courteous, tidy, but r-e-l-a-x-x-x. That's what it's here for.
Please, no smoking inside or around the house.
I ask that guests leave the place tidy and at least start the process of cleaning. Doing so allows me to keep the cleaning cost charges to guests low, keep people's attachment to the place high, allows for frequent return visits, and provides me with the joy of returning to a clean home. So far, it has worked well for everyone.
David's house in San Rafael was very true to the photos and description. It was comfortable, well-furnished, and homey. It was wonderful to be so close to all of the activities that we wanted to do while in the area, yet stay in a quiet, cozy neighborhood. The walking path in the marsh preserve near the house was also lovely.
Great stay at David's home! The house was clean and organized, with everything we needed. We absolutely loved spending time in the beautiful backyard. The house's location was perfect for us to visit Napa one day and San Francisco the next. Also highly recommend the nearby farmer's market!
We rented David's house in San Raphael for three nights in mid July. David was a great host and had the house well prepared for our arrival. He had prepared a great house manual that gave us all we needed to know but David was very responsive to any other questions we had. The house is charming, comfortable and well setup but the back garden is a real joy. David has a beautiful deck and it is lovely place to sit with a nice glass of wine after a days sightseeing. San Raphael is an ideal base for visiting the bay area...thanks David
David is an amazing host and his house is incredible. We walked around and said "this is a clever house maintained by a meticulous man". From the labeling where things are in the kitchen to how the b beautiful backyard is maintained, we had a great time. I highly recommend David and his house.
This place is absolutely fantastic! My family stayed here for a wedding we were attending in Napa and had a great time. The house is very clean and David is a great communicator. We look forward to getting the chance to stop by again in the future!
David responded almost immediately and was very understanding when I had to cancel and re-book because I had to change the dates, he cheerfully accepted my request and kept in touch until our arrival to make sure we were ok and ensure we knew we could contact him if we needed anything. David's home is even better than pictured, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. All creature comforts were provided and it was easy to find our way around his kitchen to cook family meals together. The back yard attracts many gorgeous hummingbirds,& doves. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and enjoy a nice glass of wine after a long day of sight seeing. The neighborhood is quiet and very friendly, very walkable and there is even a small park a few feet away for us to enjoy! This location was a perfect home base for trips to the City, the Redwoods, The Ocean, and a lovely Farmers Market every Thursday night with local produce, food trucks & vendors, live music, and even games for the kids! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone trying to really experience the area they are visiting and get a heck of a lot more bang for their buck than they would with a hotel.
David was a great communicator and totally available to answer any questions. This was my favorite vacation rental EVER! The layout of the house is ideal for any family or friend gathering. The kitchen is open and beautiful and the outdoor space was so unbelievably awesome. Everything seemed better than the pictures on airbnb. I highly recommend this space! One of my favorite things was half a block away there was a gorgeous walking trail that was flat land looping around a marsh. We walked there in the morning and evening and saw one of the most gorgeous sunsets ever! It was so relaxing in this neighborhood and all the local people on the trail we so friendly. I have never been so excited to leave a review for anyone before. David's place is really that great and we will be back for sure and recommend this spot to all our friends:) Thanks David!!!
About the Host, David
I enjoy the greatness and the beauty of the of the outdoors. Marin and Northern California offer the richness of the outdoors with the cultural amenities I also appreciate. I've loved traveling to, through and around over 60 countries over 6 continents. I still feel the deep exhale of coming home to a simple, beautiful, quiet, and comfortable place that I can call home, and that blurs the lines and invitation between outdoors and in. Simple touches of quality and detail matter to me. They speak throughout my home and my world. I hope they speak to a special few others, as well.
