We greatly enjoyed our stay with Carol who was very friendly, helpful and warm. Carol gave us lots of great tips on where to eat and what to see in York, and she made us the most delicious breakfast in the mornings. Carol's house is very lovely and the double room we stayed in was very comfortable and nicely decorated!
We enjoyed our stay in York with Carol. The room with the ensuite bathroom was very nice. We had enjoyable conversations with Carol. Carol made breakfast every morning, and Woody especially loved the cinnamon porridge!
The bus stop was only about a ten minute walk, and then the bus got you to center city in about 15 minutes. Carol was very helpful in telling us about the city, it's history and how to get around.
We definitely recommend staying with Carol for anyone visiting York.
Carol is a delightful and accommodating host. The house is attractive, the room is comfortable, the breakfast is tasty. You can get to the centre easily by bus, or it's a pleasant half-hour walk. Excellent value, highly recommended.
Carol is a great host, very knowledgeable about the city of York and does a mean bowl of porridge. Would definitely recommend visitors to the city to stay. She is also well travelled and a genuine person.
Carol's place was very nice, and in a convenient location. The lady helping her look after the place was extremely helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at Carol's. The house was nice, with great access to York.
Carol was not home when I visited but her friend Claire took great cate of me. She was very helpful, answered all my questions and assisted me with helpful advice. The room was very cozy, the bathroom ws big and bright. A great experience!
Carol made us welcome. I had misunderstood how strictly veggie she is and was asked to put back into the car a chicken meal we had brought in for our supper. Carol was away from the early hours of the second night of our stay so did not interact with her much at all. We had a room each and were comfortable
Carol was a very welcoming and caring host who provided us with tea and biscuits, plenty of information not only about York but all those other interesting places she had travelled to, cinnamon porridge in the morning as well as additional blankets for our cold feet in the night. Thank you again for everything!
We so enjoyed our stay with Carol. Such a warm and friendly lady, a lovely home and plenty of interesting conversation. It was definitely home from home and conveniently situated for the city centre and the local pub. We intend returning in the summer.
Thank you for having us to stay.
Martine and Phil.
