If social interaction is part of the memory that you wish to produce, we are more than happy to top off our gourmet, complementary breakfast with meaningful and informative conversation.
We are settled on 5 acres just a 10 minute was to down town. We are within city limits yet feel like we are out of town. Views are some of the best in town.
There is a side walk to downtown, makes an easy 10 minute stroll. During the summer season there is a free trolley stop just at the bottom of the hill

Monica welcomed us as we arrived, served tea and homemade biscotti, and showed us our lovely room at the Inn. We had a gorgeous mountain view from our room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the Inn is a short walk from the high street in town. We were attending a wedding brunch the morning we left so opted out of the full breakfast though we did enjoy some apricot almond coffee cake and fresh fruit with Monica and the other guests. Monica is very friendly, a great cook and has a lovely space to get away and relax.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Monica was an incredible hostess. We arrived to an impeccably clean home, a fresh batch of cookies and a perfectly cozy room. Her fabulous cooking skills (hello Pumpkin Scones!) and personable demeanor made breakfast a wonderful experience both mornings. We will be back without question.
The host (Monica) was wonderful! She lives on a home on the same property. She was very responsive to messages and super helpful with suggestions on everything from the route to take to Estes (due to flooding construction) and restaurants while in town (had a great dinner at the Rock Inn!). She made a wonderful breakfast that was included in the price of the room.
The property is walkable to town, but be warned that the walk is a bit of a workout if you're not used to altitude. There IS a free shuttle that goes around town which drops off right near the property (about a block from the property).
We stayed in the Romantic Rose room (though the booking was for the Long View room - just slightly different asthetic). The hot tub was right outside our room and it was a wonderful way to relax under the stars in a peaceful mountain setting. Even though this location is in town, it feels a bit country which I loved!
By far the best BnB experience I have had. The location was amazing, the house was beautiful and newly renovated, and Monica was the best innkeeper you could ask for. I felt like I was staying at a 5 star hotel for a quarter of the price. I am already hoping to get back soon and would recommend the Golden Lead Inn to anybody. Monica's cookies were the best I have ever had.
