Our apartment is located in the heart of the city, so if you have just a short time in Palermo will be super easy to see all main point of interest of the city, and stay relaxing admiring a beautiful view from our panoramic terrace

The Space

New and centrally located penthouse apartment in Palermo (150 m2 on two floors). We have 3 spacious, bright and comfortable rooms and three bathrooms. Each room has its own bathroom (one bathroom is ensuite and the others are in front of the room but also private), TV, air conditioning and wi-fi connection. There is a large terrace on the top floor from which you can admire the city and its monuments. The kitchen is open for common use and is fully equipped with an electric oven, fridge, freezer, and an espresso machine.

Guest Access

It's really important to me that guests feel at home, so ( as at their own home) they can use everything: kitchen, oven, refrigerator, pan, coffee machine, boiler.
Also the apartment has a really nice and panoramic terrace, that you can use, where you can relax, get some sunshine, admiring the amazing view of the city.
Also each room has wi-fi connection, private bathroom, air conditioning and some book (in english or in german).
To be respectful of no smoking guests it is not allowed to smoke in the room and in the kitchen but it is allowed to smoke in the terrace.

Interaction with Guests

I live in the apartment so I have flexible ceck in and ceck out time!
When you will arrive I will be at home to give you the keys of the apartment and of your room, also I will give you a small map of the city, and if you want i will give you some tips about the city (where you can eat for a cheap price, main street market and main monument you can visit in the city center)!

The Neighborhood

Our apartment is in the heart of the old part of the city, that's the reason because I always suggest to visit the city by foot. In 5 minutes by foot you can walk through the street market of Ballarò, (that is one of the ancient e and biggest markets of the city) and see his gorges colors, you can reach the nice boulevard of the port (I love to see the sunrise there!); you also should see Botanic Garden (12 minute walking), and Piazza Marina where is the the oldest and biggest Ficus three of Italy; you can also visit the gourges fountain of Piazza Pretoria (Fontana Pretoria o della Vergogna). In a walking distance I think you should see Palatin chapel (that is inside Royal Palace) with its very bright mosaics; or if you like horror and weird stuff you will appreciate the Catacomb of Cappuccini.
Also city center is famous for street food, you can have a big Arancina at bar Touring (close to the port) or eat a delicious "panino panelle e crocchè" ( a typical sandwich) at the hosteria " nni Franco u vastiddaro" for a really cheap price.
You can also have a typical lunch at Zia Pina where you can choose your fish and they will cook it for you!
But if you are tired, if you'd like, on request, I can prepare dinner for you and you can have dinner in the terrace!

Getting around

The apartment is located near Piazza Julio Cesare, the central train station and bus terminal in Palermo, which is connected to all the main streets of the city, but with train or busses you can also easily reach some small nice town close to Palermo as Cefalù (that's my favorite!), a small meddle age city on the beach that you can reach in 50 minute with train.
Getting to the airport Falcone e Borsellino reach the apartment is very simple.
If you don't have car:
There are 3 solutions
1) Take a taxi cost is around 40 euros
2) Take the train from the airport (Punta Raisi) to the central station (Piazza Giulio Cesare) the cost is 5.8 euros
3) Take a bus from the airport arrives in Piazza Giulio Cesare the cost is about EUR 6
Once you arrive in Piazza Giulio Cesare can reach the apartment on foot is about 6 minutes.
If you have a car:
About the parking there are 3 solutions:
1) totally free parking in front of the apartment and nearby (20-30 meters and can find them)
2) Pay parking: the cost is 50 cents per hour, are free from 14 to 16 and from 20 to 8, also on Sunday are totally free.
3) Parking garages near the apartment (about 50/100 meters) there are 2, the cost depends on the size of the car.

Other Things to Note

Price is including breakfast, I love baking (my dream is to be a chef!) so you will always find fresh and homemade cake, pie and bred, also croissant, yogurt, cereals, muesly, jam, fresh fruits, coffee, milk, tea, butter.
For late arrival, I may serve a simple dinner upon request from you by email in advance (price 15 euro per person)

    - I spent five great days at Noemi's B&B. I had a big colourful room with a comfy bed and a gorgeous balcony from which I enjoyed watching the evening sun that was setting behind the mountains in the evening or simply enjoyed watching the chaos down on the street that is so typical of Palermo! :)
Noemi herself is a very nice hostess! Every morning she offers different kinds of delicious home-made sweets to her guests and on my second and last evening she prepared a fantastic Sicilian dinner for me that she offers to prepare for her guests (for those who prefer staying in rather than dining out) for just 15 €... which you cannot get any better or cheaper at any restaurant.
Will definitely stay there again when I come back to "Paliemmu"!

Noemi ti far sentire come a casa.

  • From the minute I arrived until I left Noemi was such a warm and gracious host! She gave me a map and overview of the city, places to see, restaurants to eat it, street food to eat, markets to shop at and answered whatever questions I asked. Her baking was phenomenal and she even cooked dinner one night, which was such a treat. She speaks English very well and even if she doesn't know a word, we figured it out! My room was roomy, clean, comfortable as was the en suite bathroom! The rooftop terrace was so nice in the day and night with excellent views! I'm so fortunate to have found this place and been able to stay!

  • The place was great and even though Noemi was sick, she still made sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.

  • My stay in Palermo was just wonderful.. Noemi's place is very centraly located, so it was easy ether to explore the city by foot or to escape from the city by bus or train. And I enjoyed the rooftop-terrace very much.
I had a spacious room with everything I needed, including WiFi. As other travellers have mentioned, Noemi goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and helped me in many ways..thank you so much! Noemi is an extraordinary host! I strongly recommend staying with Noemi if staying in Palermo.

  • There are 4 good reasons to choose this place: Host, Rooms, Views and Location!
Noemi is very nice, friendly, helpful and responsive.
She served her home baked breakfast in the kitchen or terrace (with great views) and this creates a nice opportunity to chat and meet other guests.
Our room with en suite bathroom, city and mountain view at the backside of the apartment was big and comfortable. The place is close to all the interesting sites of the city.
With help of Noemi we found a place to park our car for free next to the apartment.
    We recommend Noemi's place!
P.s. Visit the botanical garden, it's an oasis!

  • On our trip to Lipari we stayed in Palermo for one night. Noemi gave us a very warm welcome and excellent advices for the city (where to go, where to eat etc.) Noemi loves cooking and baking. Our breakfast was excellent! And not to forget the roof terrace.

Palermo has a great atmosphere. We really loved the city, Noemi's apartment and our room.

The apartment is at a good location. Just 5 minutes away from the train station or to one of the most attractive markets in Palermo.

Be aware that Palermo is a very vibrant city. It can be a bit louder in the evenings. So if anybody needs real silence to sleep, take your earplugs with you. Wherever you sleep in the city. (For us it was totally okay - we didn't use our earplugs.)

Also, Noemi is very helpful, the flat is very well located, close to the most popular area of the city and to the gate of the old city centre, five minutes by walk from the main station.
