Taya's place was great. The apartment building is in a quiet residential area, but not too far from the metro and grocery stores. If you don't feel like walking to the metro along the somewhat remote road, make a shortcut through the courtyards in between the apartment buildings. For something more architecturally fancy than the Soviet-era residential clusters, head to the Tsarityno estate, which is immediately adjacent to the metro stop (just head south under the railway). The entrance is free, the site is vast, diverse in landscape and perfect for a refreshing walk and sightseeing away from the center of the city -- it is difficult to walk through the whole area in just one visit.

The apartment is tiny (but no tinier than your regular NYC apartment) and cozy. I felt very comfortable; Taya is a very helpful but also very respectful and laid back host. I had my own key, we managed to each do our own thing and that was great. The communication was easy and we resolved any questions on the spot. I enjoyed being able to use the kitchen and store my food in the fridge as well as use the washing machine. Overall, another great Airbnb experience.

  • Taya is a great host, very helpful. She helped us with the registration and the transiberian tickets.
The place is convenient, well located : not so far from Moscow center and near to the Tsaristina park which is wonderful.
The room is very cozy, we slept very well, it is calm and clean.
We had a wonderful time there we surely recommend this place!

  • I was welcomed by Taya with caviar and immediately felt home, she is a nice and carring person, her conversation helped me to discover Russia and another point of view than the one we have in the west. It was simply great to live like a Moscovite and thanks to Taya and the wonderful city where she lives made me desperately fall in love with Moscow. Tks Taya.

  • The room is, indeed, quiet and in summer the window is shaded by lovely green branches. The photos of the apartment are taken with a wide angle lens making it appear larger than it is. All the facilities are present and operational, as advertised. Taya is a tactful and laid-back host.

Tsaritsyno Park is indeed the highlight of the neighborhood, a great urban forest with ponds and walkways amid pine trees. For those who miss nature in the city it's a must-do place. I cannot say I liked the rest of the neighborhood: the walk from the subway stop takes 15 minutes along a straight and desolate road or through a working-class neighborhood where people congregate over beers on every corner. Both routes were unsettling at night. Possibly, the bus from the subway is the answer. The overall feeling is of remoteness and public housing projects. To experience real Moscow you'll be spending all of your time downtown.

About
Then longer I live in Moscow then it open to me from the better and better side, dainty coincidence and kindness, despite I remember capital inside completely another. I may give you tips for some cool and strange places, events, sport spaces in Moscow, even for free. I'm a keen of Indian, Italian, Netherlands cultures; history, architecture, fashion, chorus, circus art, cinematograph; skating, snowbording, climbing, paragliding, q-zar. Fun of urban design, brave graffity, video-production. There is plenty of books in my flat so if you study or know Russian it'll help to open our culture from different sides.
