Our home is located in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood. We love the location - being so close to downtown, but also able to easily access 275. We love the character of this established, historic neighborhood including the charm of the houses, old oak trees, and bricked streets.
Free parking is available on the street in front of the house. Taxi or car rental services are available from the area airports.
WE LOVED OUR STAY!!! Can I say that any louder?? Karen, Joe and Jackson were so welcoming and down-to-earth. It was wonderful to come "home" from the ballpark to a clean and comfortable home rather than a hotel room! The bedroom was large enough for a pack n play (provided!) and small pallet (also provided...total SURPRISE!!) for our two kiddos...not to mention all of our bags. Jackson was a gracious host and friend to our oldest (especially), even with the age difference! Our favorite memory is taco night (yum!), a new board game, and a quick pre-bed jam session...although our boys would probably argue that "school", playing outside, and petting the animals (sweet sweet dog and cats) were their favorites. We will keep this home on our list of "to revisit!"
Karen and her family are great hosts and very nice people! They offered us help and tips travelling in St Pete. We felt at home and it was simply a comfortable stay. Their dog Dixie is very cute. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood is quiet and easy to get around. The room is located near the front door, and with good privacy. We enjoyed our stay in St Pete and would love to be back. Thank you Karen and family for your great hospitality.
Karen and Joe do have a cozy home. The neighborhood is exceptionally quiet. Access to Tampa, St. Pete and the Gulf coast was great for me. I had a conference in Tampa, but didn't sign up at the reduced hotel rate, so I took the Airbnb option, renting a car and driving to Tampa - about 30 minutes. The Convention Center parking garage is easy to access and the Marriott, though more expensive, drops to $7 if you buy something and get parking validation. With two bridge options, Google Maps was able to give me the best route based on time of day. Plus I was able to travel off-peak in most cases. This is a great, strategic location for a stay in Florida, short or long. I may visit next winter just for a vacation.
Thanks again for everything, Karen & familiy. We really enjoyed our stay with you in St. Pete and highly recommend your place to others!!
Thanks for the cozy room - everything was neat, clean and done with love. And, your hospitality is outstanding I would say!

About the Host, Karen
My husband and I have been living in St. Petersburg for 12 years now and we love this city and all it has to offer!! I am a school teacher. My husband, Joe, is a software engineer. We have an 8 year old son. Our house is newly renovated with all of our bedrooms on the second floor, making the guest bedrooms in the front of the house private and quiet. We have found in our own travels that meeting local people adds so much to our enjoyment of a place. We are happy to share our space and love of St. Pete with you!
