About this listing
This cozy 1 bedroom can sleep up to 4. It has a queen size bed, a pull out couch and a futon also. The front porch balcony gives you a great birds eye view when drinking your morning coffee. it's located in Lakewood which is 10 min from downtown!
We got into Billy's place with no problems. He was very fast with a text about how to get in the apartment. It was exactly what we needed for the night. The neighborhood was very cute and had bars and places to eat within a short walk.
This was a great stay in a lovely apartment. It was spacious and well-furnished with all essentials supplied. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Street parking was readily available right in front of the unit at all hours.
Billy was a great host who provided excellent communication throughout my stay and was responsive to all questions. He made the entire process from check-in to check-out easy and hassle-free.
I'll definitely be staying here again when I return to Cleveland!!
This was unfortunately not my favorite airbnb stay. The space matched the pictures, that was good. There was not a lock however on the outer door, (there are three and I didn't have a clear idea of which opened to the apt., I asked and communication was quick but not clear immediately)and the lock to the apt. didn't seem very secure even though it was a deadbolt. The neighborhood seemed family oriented, however, as a single business traveling women alone, I have to be cognizant of safety. There was a very inexpensive grocery store nearby which was great. I needed to get many items as this place doesn't provide the following: Kleenex, more than 1 roll of tp, alarm clock, soap for hand/body washing, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, hand towels, or washcloths. There was a nice gas stove and pots/pans for cooking and a couple of plates to use. Full fridge and micro. Big tv out in the living room where there is a love seat - no tv in the bedroom however. Parking was not bad on the street. I would have liked to see some personal favorites of the host for dinner places and good values in the neighborhood. There were some books inside though that could be used if you had an idea of where you'd like to go. Overall, I'd give two stars, with potential to improve with some additions to security and amenities.
There is lock on the main door..which is on the key chain...Not sure what was so confusing..3 keys, 3 locks..I apologize I don't have labels on the keys..I have stocked with kleenex since you left..I do not stock with shampoo/soap as I stated in description.
Everything worked inside, the floors and linens were clean but the air quality inside was poor-probably because it's an old wooden row house with 4 apartments under the same roof and window air conditioning units. I dont have serious allergies but after one hour my eyes were watering and my wife who has allergies was very uncomfortable so we left and didn't stay there. We got a hotel room in town. I would ask for a refund but I dont know if bad air and environment qualify is a reason. The neighborhood is blue collar (no problem with that) but while walking the dog noticed 20+ latino children in the house behind this property. So I'm a supporter of entrepreneurs but I would score this place 5 out 10.
Out of the 100 plus stays I've had at this place, I've never had a person complain about air quality?..Not even sure what that means..It's apparent that you and your wife both have serious allergies and are allergic to probably anything in the air...My places get cleaned very thoroughly between every stay, so it has nothing to do with the quality of the cleaning...It's all hardwood floors in there also which are mopped during every cleaning. The neighborhood is very safe...It's middle income..It's not a high income neighborhood that has $500,000 houses..If that's what you are looking for than you should of chose another property....the comment about the 20 plus latinos's??? Not sure what that means and it sounds like a racist comment...and an embellishment...
Billy provided me with clear communication, and the apartment was exactly as described. Convenient location for me, plenty of space, and a quiet neighborhood on a tree-lined road. Everything was great, and I'll definitely consider staying again when I'm back in Cleveland.
