About This Listing
A lovely room with a big view of the Charles River. An antique double bed and a private bath, wifi, tv, ac, coffee machine and hair dryer. Great location for jogging along the river and a short walk to Harvard Square. Perfect for a guest visiting Harvard University for a few days but also for those who want to take the "T" to Boston.
Polly's house was perfectly situated - in the morning through our bedroom window we could see the rowers on the Charles River and lots of people jogging along the Riverside walking/cycling path.
It was a 15 minute walk along the river to Harvard Square, 20 to beautiful Harvard Yard and the campus and a 20 minute walk to Huron Village and Formaggios the best grocery store in the U.S.
Polly was a wonderful and caring host and very knowledgeable of the area and it's history. The house is rich in New England history. To top it off for a quick meal you need only walk 5 minutes to Darwin's, easily the funkiest coffee shop in Cambridge, with a full array of interesting customers from hipsters to venerable profs!

Polly's place was perfect for my Dad. He stayed for 9 nights and found Polly warm and welcoming. She was very accommodating with regard to check-in and check-out times. The place was very clean, had a terrific view, and was otherwise exactly as described. It was only a short walk to Harvard Square. He would definitely stay again and was sad to leave.
Polly's home is wonderful and the location is excellent. The room, which is on the third floor is spacious with a comfortable bed, private bathroom, WiFi, ample amount of cupboard space and much more. The room has a great view of the Charles river, which unfortunately i wasn't able to enjoy much due to the snowstorm. Best of all, Polly is a great hostess and a really lovely person. Polly and her family were very welcoming and flexible. I was given a set of keys and was free to come and go as i pleased, which was great. Hopefully i get an opportunity to visit again and would recommend folks vising Cambridge/Boston to stay at Riverbend B&B.
Polly was a wonderful host. A delicious hot, breakfast was waiting for me every morning of my one week stay, and Polly made me feel at home. I had meetings at CfA all week, and the observatory is an easy 10 minute walk up Sparks St, even with 3 feet of snow on the ground! Plenty of good coffee and restaurants within a 10 minute walk.
I had a truly wonderful stay at Polly's Riverbend B&B. Polly was very welcoming and made me feel at home. It was quite useful to have the wifi connection and Polly's breakfasts are delicious, hearty and varied. I would immediately recommend this B&B to anyone who needs to stay a few days. Polly is a very nice host and a really lovely person.
