Another FIRST CLASS CHICAGO property!
You've found it! Location, Location, Location,
This cozy Lakeview/Wrigleyville apartment is steps from the Sheridan Red Line stop which is the 24 hour main train of the city. This is a nice size studio apartment. Your bedroom includes a comfortable queen size mattress.
The area around the apartment includes several bars, restaurants, stores, Lake Michigan, CUBS Stadium and more within walking distance. Some of my favorite neighborhood type restaurants on my block include: Pizzeria Rustica (cute BYOB restaurant that is owned by an native Italian), El Mariachi (tasty Mexican with burritos bigger than your head), OH Fusion (Late night Thai/Sushi). Chicago is open late and open early to suit everyone's needs in food, dancing, and entertainment!
The Red Line train, on the next block, can take you to the heart of downtown in less than 20 minutes! The Red Line is Chicago's "blood line" of the city as it runs directly North to South through Chicago. Public transportation from both O'Hare and Midway airport are a breeze and will take you just under an hour. I am happy to provide you detailed directions to my place after booking.
You will not be disappointed!
We welcome those interested in everything from long weekend retreats to week long vacations to corporate rentals. This is a Non-Smoking unit and although we love pets, they are not allowed in the condominium.
Also, I will request a photo and some type of social media page to verify who you are. THANK YOU!
*** At this moment there the building is going through a renovation in the hallway.
This is an older building but We maintain our unit very well. The neighborhood is safe.

I rented this apartment for my sister while she was in Chicago. She loved the apartment. Tee was was great - he made sure we got in okay and was always available if we had questions. I'd definitely rent this space again.
This place is amazing. Great location, great price, great host. Tee was wonderful and timely, didn't meet him in person but nevertheless I felt quite welcomed. The space is clean, tidy, and simple which is perfect for a trip to Chicago. Right next to the Red Line and an awesome bar. Would definitely come back here again.
- Clean sheets, towels
- Great location - close to the "L"
But disappointments outweighed positives in the 7 nights we stayed:
- Gas leak from stove - won't ignite from the leak but smell is overpowering
* Building heat unreliable; had no heat on 2 nights
* Space heater - tripped every minute; needed to be manually re-started each minute
- Hot water - lost hot water part of 2 mornings
- Ambiance - props dusty
- Cleanliness - Clean in obvious places but dirt on window sills, behind doors, under radiator, under rug; some minor mold spots in bath wall
- Smoking smells - seeped in from other units; including 4/20 smoke
- Building renovation - ongoing (likely the reason for heat and hot water problems); all subfloor exposed in stairs
- Maintenance - use of plywood/lumber to prop leaning kitchen counter sink; painted over bubbled plaster in bathroom
Too many problems - temporary and not - for me to want to rent again.
Tee was a vey efficient host. I didn't meet him but he has a really foolproof system to manage things, plus he is readily available on the phone and is actually a really nice person to talk to.
The place is exactly as described, the bed is comfy, the kitchen / appliances / accesories are well-thought-out, and the mirrors make it feel a lot more spacious (it is in fact the size of a nice hotel room). Also, the view of part of the Chicago skyline is a nice plus. The location is awesome because it is so close to everything in Lakeview, and literally a block away from the Red Line (CTA); but still surprisingly quiet.
To address other users' comments on the building, yes, it is an older building, which personally I prefer over the newer condos. That said, it is safe and in good condition, and once you get into the studio apartment all you get is the good parts of "old", like the high ceiling and thick walls; plus the apartment itself (ie. what Tee actually has control over) is in top condition.
Shower pressure is great, place was spotless and it really had all I needed and more. Ideal for one or two people.
The apartment was super close to the Red Line. The building looked like it was getting renovated, but the inside of the actual apartment was clean was functional. Tee always responded promptly if I texted him with questions. I would rent again. :)
I found my experience with this rental very troubling. Firstly my original airbnb booking was cancelled on the morning of supposed arrival to Chicago for the the weekend. At very short notice I had to find alternate accommodation - Tee was very responsive to my enquiries. During our communication, Tee told me that hot water would be temporary "off". When I asked him how long the hot water was unavailable, he responded that he didn't know as the building management hadn't confirmed to him but he thought it was just temporary. Tee said that he could give me $50 discount due to this minor inconvenience, but I told him that since it was temporary, if he could give me a late checkout on Sunday and free wifi (which is normally extra), that would be exceptable to me. He agreed and I made the booking on the apt.
During Friday (Halloween) afternoon, all the flights into Chicago O'Hare was cancelled due to snow and high winds, and my flights was rescheduled so I couldn't arrive and check-in till Saturday afternoon. Tee was responsive but rigid so I forfeited the first night due to the strict cancellation policy. Upon arrival to the apartment, I found a notice from the building management under the door, where it appears that due to a dispute between the energy company and themselves, the gas to the building had been turned off. This meant no hot water, heating or gas to the stove for the forseeable future. I complained to Tee that this was not "temporary" and he said he wasn't aware of the dispute. He offered me the $50 discount again. I should have declined the offer but as it was getting late, I was tired and needed to meet up with friends, I accepted. To Tee's credit, when I asked for a electric kettle and plastic container so I could at least boil some hot water and "wash" - He drove to Target and got them for me.
During the evening I found that the electric space heater provided kept tripping out every couple of minutes and it got very cold in the apt.
I would advise any future renters to make sure that the gas/ hot water is available and the space heater is fixed and/or negotiate better discount terms!
Otherwise the apt is ok - clean, basic but has everything you need. The building is old but in the process of being painted and updated. The location is between Lakeview and Uptown and I had no problems with noise from other tennants or surroundings.
Easy check in. Nice neighborhood.
Clean apartment. Good communication.
Would definitely rent again.
