About This Listing
Great location! Just a few minutes walk from the famous George Pompidou, Les Halles and the heart of Le Marais.
Easy access from both airports: you take the RER B to Les halles. From les halles to the flat is a 10 minute walk
Great location. Just 1 minute walk from the famous George Pompidou, les Halles and The George restaurant with an amazing ( really) view of Paris. There are restaurants for all budgets and taste. Walking distance from Notre dame, Hotel De Ville, and Ile st Louis.
A small, charming, attractive and well situated studio in La Marais.
Just minutes from Goerge POMPIDOU, this tasteful studio with a separate kitchen, bathroom, and main room: an ideal starting point to see PARIS. The studio was renovated in 2011 and all furnishing, including the bed is new. The main room has a lovely view of the building`s garden that is shared by all (website hidden) spaces in Paris are rare and it`s a treat to (email hidden) to come home after a day of work or sightseeing.
The main room, I have set it up like suite. It has a real bed (140X200), two comfy leather chairs, a brand new tv with cable; access to 4 English channels, a tasteful, period French round table for two, Internet, Wi Fi, and free internationals calls. ( landline to landline calls only; check with me if your country is included)
The bathroom has a good shower, plenty of storage for your beauty products, and washing machine, a wall heater to keep your towels nice and dry. A hair drier, iron and ironing board, and no need to bring towels or linen; these items are provided for you.
The kitchen, it`s pretty standard in size for a studio in La Marais.
It has two electric burners, a fridge, a micro / grill, a toaster, water boiler, coffee maker, and everything else to make a decent meal. Dishes, glasses, wine glasses, pots and pans, coffee mugs, cups and all cooking utensils are all provided.
Transport to this side of La Marais: excellent. There`s the CHALALET station just 10 minutes away. This is one of PARIS main train stations and most importantly, the RER B can bring you from both airports: CDG and ORLY, within walking distance of the flat on your arrival... a great savings, and no need for an expensive taxi ride. For those travelling by train, again, LINE 4, will bring you to the flat. It`s very easy to travel from here to just about anywhere. Another thing, since you`re in the middle city, you won`t need much public transport to visit some of PARIS major touristic sites that are within walking distance. A big plus when taxis or the metro decides to strike...it does happen from time to time...this is the reason, Parisians are ready to pay a high rent to avoid the frustration to get to their jobs in the city.
Where to eat: the list is endless. There are restaurants for all taste and price range. Again, within walking distance to some of capital`s most search after brasseries, clubs, bars, theater, jazz bars, live music outlets, and even great spas.
What I enjoy the most about this flat is the chance to really experience the young, eclectic, fun, and magical creativity of this side of town...it`s never boring and it never stops to surprise me! On that note, this flat is situated ideally for an inner city residence: good transport, grocers, entertainment, banks within walking distance, shopping of all types of fashion and decor, museums: contemporary, historical, great gallery collections, and the list goes on.
I am huge fan of La Marais and I welcome you to my little residence in the heart of just about everything has to offer.
internet : free calls to most international countries: washing machine: hair drier: iron : heat: hot water
Interaction with Guests
I am in contact with my guest by internet, sms, telephone from the day of their arrival to the day of their departure. ( my guests rarely need me in between their stay, but I am never too far -- I don`t live at the flat, however, I do live in the neighborhood)
It`s located right in the heart of Paris. You can walk to most major monuments: Hotel de Viile, Notre Dame, Latin Quatier, La Seine, George Pompidou, Palais Royal, Le Louvre, St Michel, St Germain des Pres & Les Halles.
Superb public transport: next to one Paris`s most important transport hubs: Chatelet & Les Halles
Other Things to Note
Just around corner: a little street with the most fantastic bakeries: it`s just amazing what they can do with bread and fine products to conclude a reasonable priced, tasteful delight! Just across the street from bread heaven, the most gorgeous dessert shop awaits you with the most beautiful desserts on the planet! ( ok, that`s opinion, but after 15 yrs in Paris, this place is hard to beat! And, right next to it, there are two more boutiques offering more of the same delights! But my favorite is more classic and traditional, while the other two are more experimental, yet still, amazingly delicious and tastefully fun! ( Ok, I have a serious sweet tooth and I search out for the very best Paris can offer!)
No smoking...pls, I kindly remind you that these old Parisians flats dont breath very well, and the smell of cigarrettes stays in the rooms.

Monica is a super-charming host and so flexible to meet her guest needs. The apartment is small but perfect if you do not plan to spend so much time in (do not, you're in Paris!!) and really well equipped. It's ground-floor, and room windows overlook the courtyard so privacy can be a little bit compromised and you will have your neighbors' routine as background, but that's part of a real Paris-style experience and we enjoyed it. It's just in front of Beaubourg and many metro station are in a few steps. Super-reccomended!
This apartment was wonderful. The location couldn't be any better. The metro is just steps away. There are so many dining options and shopping options close by. There are 2 grocery stores on either side of the street. The apartment was well maintained and looks just like the pictures. The bed was very comfortable. It was great to be on the ground floor because after a long day of seeing the city the last thing you want to do is climb more stairs. Our only complaint was there was a plumbing issue with the bar next door (the owners are very friendly), and they had to access the apartment which was fine except it left a layer of dirt and dust all over the whole apartment so we had to attempt to clean up what we could. Monica is very friendly and I would recommend anybody to stay in this place. I know we would return as well.
Monica is a incredible host. Very very helpful . The flat is perfect and in a great location . I highly recommend monica.
Monica was there when we arrived and was welcoming and willing to answer any questions. She made us feel at home and made sure we knew we could contact her whenever we needed. She was clear with what she needed and what we needed to know. She was available and quickly responded to any message. Overall, we had a very pleasant, easy, enjoyable experience here. Would definately return and stay at this apartment again!
Great location in the edge of the Marais- dozens of neat cafes, restaurants and shops close by! Cute apartment.
Monica's place was clean and wonderful.
Our flight was slightly delayed and Monica kindly waited for us.
We even got lost trying to head to her apartment but she very kindly "found" us in one the the beautiful streets leading up to her apartment.
I would recommend her apartment to other airbnb holiday-makers.
We will be back.......
The apartment was wonderful!!! Nice and central, right across the road from George Pompidou Centre, and only 10 mins walk to St Michel station, which took you everywhere where you couldn't walk to!! Monica was very welcoming when we arrived, and provided us with some good tips on staying in Paris. While it's fair to say it was a tight squeeze at times, for the two of us it was fine, and great to be so handy to a lot of what Paris has to offer. We look forward to vsiting again one day soon, I Hope!! Thanks, :-)
