Trendy and light apartment on the groundfloor of a monumental building, built in 1893 (!), in the city centre. The neighbourhood, with its canals and quite streets almost feels like a little village inside the city. It will take a couple minutes by foot to get to Leidsche Square, Rembrandt Square, Museum Square or Vondelpark. The famous neighboorhood De Pijp - known for it's shops, bars and muliticultural restaurants and Albert Cuypmarket - is on walking distance.
You can reach the apartment easily by tram from Central Station. It's tram 4, 16, 24 and 25, stops are close to both ends of the street on a 2 minutes walk from the apartment. When you come by car you will make it easy from the highway (A1, A2 and Ring A10) in just a couple of minutes. There's enough parking space in the street, but a daycard costs about € 40, so a better option may be to park your car at the Olympic Stadium and take tram 24 from there. It will cost you only € 6 including the tram-ticket.
The entree of the apartment is on the groundfloor of the building which gives access to the livingroom. The bathroom is modern, with a shower and toilet. The kitchen has a microwave, oven, dish washer, coffee machine, water boiler, fornace and a refridgerator. Behind the living, you will find the bedroom. There is a double bed and a single bed. The place is perfect for 1-4 guest, but if you want to use it with 6 people its also suits. In that case there are 2 extra matrasses under the beds.

Awful staying conditions, avoid it at any cost! This king of apartment make a bad reputation to airbnb! Dismal housing not in accordance with the announcement and photographs
The bathroom was very very wet and unhealthy. Your feet swim in two centimeters water with the washing machine...
I had to sleep on the floor because the bed was wet because of the rain get in the room by the roof!!
Sleeping on the floor on if mattress you are more than 4 people
We was more confortable in Naples or in deep India with lower prices. I think Amsterdam people (house keeper and sellers) despise tourist, yet we give some money to her!
The welcome was correct. Julia and friends are nice and fast to try to fix the situation but it's not enough.
Très déçu de ma 1ère expérience bnb.
Very disappointed for my first experience on airbnb
The apartment was a disaster. The first step in the apartment, we have smelled very strong humidity.
The walls in the living room and in the bathroom crumble off. The bathroom has been an imposition. We have not dared touse the bathroom. The refrigerator and closets were dirty and unusable. Anyway, the woman received us was very friendl. wifi was not functional until the last day. although the lady told us that it is repaired. wifi was very important for my work
The appartment is close to the museums and semi close to the center. Inside everything seems to be done in a quick fix kind of way. The floor is not flat, the ventilation of the bathroom does not work and the bedroom is not a bedroom - rather a cupboard with a very elevated matrace. It also seems that the place is being used as a storage room.
On the upside: It is very quiet and people in the same house are friendly.
If you are a bunch of guys, who need a place to crash, then you'll like it. If you travel as a couple I wouldn't recommend it.
We were in a group of 6, and still the apartment was confortable. No one complained about any of the beds, couch and mattresses. The apartment was clean, the neighborhood is great (you can walk to anywhere in town). The internet was a bit shaky, certainly not because we were 6 - even when only one of us was at home, the connection wasn't good. But hey! We're in Amsterdam, right? That wasn't a real issue, as we barely had time to (try to) use wifi.
The other thing is the bathroom. The floor gets flooded very easily, but no more than it does in most small apartments i've been to.
Julia wasn't there when we arrived, but a very kind friend checked us in. We loved our stay and I'll certainly come back, if possible.
Apartment was in an easily accessible location and felt very safe. Comfortable place. Hosts were very friendly and hospitable. Great for a short stay :)
