Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
We have been renovating an old 1950's dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn.
We built this private bungalow on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. It is close enough to the creek to hear it from your bedroom window.

The space
We have been renovating our barn and silo (ourselves) since 2013. We love the space we have created here. Outside, you can expect beautiful mountain scenery and a peaceful atmosphere, with a calming creek next to your bungalow. And the landscaping and creek rock walls are outstanding!
The bungalow has its own entrance. There is a bathroom with stand up shower , full kitchen and living area. There is 1 separate bedroom with a queen size bed. In the living room the futon make a double/full size bed, so the bungalow sleeps 4.

Guest access
Guests can access the garden, beautiful grounds and creek. Fresh eggs when chickens are laying.

Other things to note
Cell phone service can be spotty here as we are in the valley of the mountains. Verizon and U.S. Cellular do work. However there is wifi that works in proximity to the house.

There is a grocery store 10 minutes from us.

We have 3 very friendly dogs. We have Folger, (the husky), Maxwell House, (German Shepherd) and Joe (German Shepherd puppy). We have 2 cats and they all absolutely love having guest.
Also a coop full of chickens. We also have Silky chickens, these are the ones that are fluffy on their feet and heads. So Cute!

There is no A/C unit as the temperature is very mild. There is a heater and fans in the apartment, if needed.

My husband, Bill and I have brought this barn and Silo back to life and have just had a blast creating it! I’ve done the interior design work on our barn... and the actual work(like painting, tile, etc.). In fact, my husband, son and I have done most of the work on our barn and I love showing it off. I love my chickens and in the summer, spend most of my time in my gardens or creating my rock walls. We enjoy our place so much and the only thing that makes it better is to share it with others. Please come join us in our little paradise!
