The Adirondack Treehouse Retreat was born organically, originally built through a creative idea and a special place for Tom's children to play. However, when the boys grew up and moved on to other endeavors Tom decided to share the treehouse with guests both near and far.
Both Tom and Susan have a passion for nature and living an organic lifestyle. Eager to pause in life and take in the sights and sounds of nature from the frogs and crickets on a summer night to the song birds or occasional Blue Herron sighting down at the pond.
Another enjoyment is observing the personalities of their small flock of chickens and of course the wonderful eggs they produce is unmatched. The chicken coop and run were another creative project keeping with the Adirondack style and taking nearly a full summer to complete. Upon your stay you may encounter the chickens running freely about the property consuming bugs.
Susan can often be found in the garden checking, tending, and watering. The fence surrounding the garden was a welcome addition for keeping the chickens and deer at bay.
When Tom is not busy with the Treehouse you may find him in his wood shop crafting furniture using many techniques from an earlier time. With 25 years in this business Tom specializes in chairs and custom pieces.
Together Tom and Susan enjoy cooking, star/moon gazing, walks, family and seeking truth.
