The space
Experience the atmosphere of a colorful German style Oma's Haus built in 1863 complete with antique Amana-made furnishings, and artwork. Sit in a big stuffed chair and watch the artist at work when Gordon is in his studio just across the hallway! The shared kitchen/dining room overlooks a spacious yard with old lilacs, and borders the sandstone Arts Guild, with exhibits and locally-made gift shop, which was also a former church in the communal era (May 1-October 1). An old fashioned general store is just a block away (Check the Heritage Museum for hours and dates).

During your stay

Owners live on the same floor and do not have inside pets. Guests can visit Gordon's art studio when he is painting. He is a fourth generation colonist, and a good resource for local history!
