About this listing
The Cedar Chalet at Jay is a one-of-a-kind property located just 6 miles down the road from Jay Peak Resort. It’s hidden away on 9 acres of forested land with its own creek, spring water pond, and hiking trails. We invite guests year-round to take a step back in time inside our classic Alpine style chalet and enjoy a little piece of paradise that’s a home away from home.
Only 6 miles from the Jay Peak Ski & Summer Resort and just one mile from Montgomery Centre, the Cedar Chalet is located in the northernmost area of Vermont, conveniently on a recently renovated public road that’s always plowed in the winter. The famous Jay Peak Resort prides itself on being the snowiest mountain on the East Coast -- it often snows here even when there’s nothing in more southern areas. The resort also includes a brand-new top-of-the-line golf course and clubhouse, a year-round ice skating rink, and most recently, a year-round water park!
The large chalet boasts cathedral ceilings, a spacious wrap around deck with views onto the spring-water pond, creek, and the rest of the beautifully landscaped property. Outdoors you’ll find a spring pond (which provides fresh drinking water in the Spring/Summer/early Fall), several lounging areas, trails for hiking, snowshoeing or even x-country skiing, a graveled driveway with a large parking lot for all your cars, and a firewood shed with plenty of wood for the fireplace.
The Cedar Chalet sleeps a maximum of 12 people. All bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows, towels) is provided.
