Peace and quiet

Tiny living done right! Discover 350 sq ft of stylish simplicity in this thoughtfully designed mini cottage. With an airy entry, cozy living area, smart kitchenette, full bath, lofted sleeping nook, and clever storage, it’s perfect for 1–4 guests seeking a relaxed stay—whether for a romantic retreat, work escape, quick stopover, or lively Charlottesville event like weddings, concerts, or triathlons.

The space
Oxford Cottage offers a cozy retreat tucked behind the main house on a quiet city lot. This modern Tiny House—larger than most hotel suites—features tall ceilings, great natural light, and playful, modern decor. Built in 2014 and updated in 2020, it’s well insulated, energy-efficient, and feels like a little treehouse oasis.

Perfect for 1–2 guests (or up to 4 cozy travelers), you'll enjoy central heating and air, an air purifier, 2 comfy queen sized beds, and fresh linens. While there’s no TV, blazing fast fiber WiFi keeps you well-connected. The kitchenette comes stocked for simple meals, with all the essentials—from a microwave and induction cooktop, crockpot & toaster oven-- to wine glasses for unwinding.

A note: the loft stairs are steep and best for nimble guests. We ask that you help us keep the cottage eco-friendly by being mindful of water and power use. Thoughtful extras like low-impact toiletries, a hair dryer, and an iron are provided to make your stay easy and relaxed.

Oxford Cottage is your charming, low-key launchpad for all things Charlottesville.

Other things to note
We do have a honey bee hive to the left of the cottage just so you are aware. It is in a tucked away spot away from the entry/exit and fire pit. Just fyi if you have any bee allergies to not go check out the beehive. :)
