Teatime
Pastels and florals make this a sweet cottage for weekend get-aways. One queen bedroom/one bath and a sleeper sofa allows for as many as a group of 4 to enjoy this quiet spot in the vineyard. A long ramp and deck allow for easy access for rolling bags, strollers or those who cannot use steps. Generous deck with outside seating has a direct view of the 3rd oldest vineyard in TX. Stove, microwave, toaster, Keurig and small fridge provide all the necessities for breakfast with a view!

The space
We are the 3rd oldest vineyard in Texas. We are a working vineyard growing grapes and producing a number of wines and Mead. These quaint house/cottage rentals now onsite are from the DIY Network Show, Texas Flip and Move. We have decorated each to retain their each unique personality.

Our 8,000 sft Event Center up the hill is scheduled to open August 2018 where guests can then enjoy our tasting room with patio seating and lite fare. In the meantime, a common area complete with pavilion, seating and fire pit is available along with several picnic tables and grills for outdoor gatherings. Tv with local channels and a Firestick and Wifi, no cable.

Where you’ll be

Springtown, Texas, United States

We are located in a rural area surrounded by other landowners with livestock, horses and more. It's peaceful and beautiful, a welcome break from the everyday chaos. Roads are windy and dark so please, take your time. Noise carries in our little valley so please be mindful of music and noise levels for both other cottage renters and our surrounding neighbors. From 199, take Old Spingtown Road to Mill Road. You’ll see the WINERY signs. Turn on Mill Road, then make a right on Vineyard Lane, which dead ends into our estate vineyard. From 51 head east on 199 and take Old Springtown Road south (next turn) and then turn left on Mill road, right on Vineyard Lane.

Sometimes it’s not that you consciously follow your dreams but more, that your dreams find you. Such is the case with Umbra Winery owners, John and Debbie Wilson, who coincidentally, met at a wine tasting back in 2010. Little did they know that their meeting would lead to a new way of life, beginning with the purchase of a small winery they soon renamed Umbra. The recently acquired La Buena Vida Vineyards in Springtown is located just 45 minutes from Grapevine. This 49 acre estate houses Umbra's production facility and eight varietals that provide a gorgeous backdrop to the 8,000 sft Event Facility. A private barrel room under the tasting room is perfect for smaller private events. The tasting room features expansive patios allowing visitors to enjoy a view of the vineyard and allowing guests of their cottage rentals a spot to eat, sip and enjoy the amazing views and sunsets. Cottages are available for rent on airbnb and are from the DIY Network show, Texas Flip and Move. Each boasts its own design flair so guests can enjoy a more sophisticated cabin such as Sophisticate, a chic ranch style in Ranchero or a country vibe in Country Charmer. All seven have a different decor style and one could have fun rotating visits to each! The two hope to share their love of Europe and wine with guests at this third oldest Vineyard in Texas. From the Spanish colonial inspired architecture and interior design, to the delicious fare served in their tasting room and of course...the wine...they invite you to experience “the good life”!
