This place was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Walking from the train station with luggage, in late afternoon heat, wasn't the best idea but we had a superb 3-day stay. This place is centrally located so we could come back anytime during the day and cool down before we head out to the major sights of Florence in no time. The room itself -- and the building, steps, hallways, restroom and balcony -- is beautifully decorated, very traditional and clean and, combined with the surrounding view and ambience, offered a truly local experience. There are tons of dining options in the neighborhood and, although the building is located on a small alley, we felt reasonably safe walking home after dinner. Most of all, the host is very kind and responsive, and we couldn't have been happier with our first airbnb experience.
Dear Criss, please tell Olivia that my daughter misses her so much!
This place was incredible. The room was exactly as beautiful as it looked in the photos, the location was absolutely perfect and I expected far more street noise, we had great, peaceful sleeps! Maria Cristina was away but she had the very capable and welcoming Stephanie to get us settled in. We went to two of the recommended restaurants nearby and they were both amazing, the best food we had during our stay. I highly recommend Maria Cristina and this room!
Maria Cristina was fantastic. The room was perfectly situated just behind the Piazza Vecchio. The orientation was great and so many little extras to make you feel at home. A light clean of the room daily, maps and snacks available, wine, water, soft drinks to buy. Ordering me a taxi was no trouble - even doing washing in-house for a reasonable fee. What a great place and thank you for making the holiday even better. I would definitely recommend Maria Cristina and this accommodation to anyone.
My husband and I loved staying here! The room was gorgeous as well as the private bathroom. It was spacious and in an amazing location. Not a far walk from train station (20 minutes) and then you are so centrally located to everything including all the sights. Everything is a very short walk away. Maria also has a great assortment of breakfast items to choose from along with coffee and tea. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Florence. Great host and place!
Beautiful room, very clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were easy, would definitely recommend.
Staying with Maria Cristina and Stephanie was wonderful. The location was great and close to all the tourist sites and the train station. Stephanie was especially helpful with places to eat and visit. The room is just like the pictures. We loved staying here and hope to return soon!
