This area is consider very new as wooden old houses are demolish to build into 4 storey buildings since 2012.
Its located right beside to Yangon's best hypermarket CAPITAL.
In this mall, there are restaurants for local burmese food "YKKO", chinese food 烧鸭,叉烧,点心, Thai food and western fast food. Clinic is nearby.
You can experience the life of normal local burmese family.
The apartment is professionally cleaned between visits.
Public bus stop just a few steps away
Other Things to Note
Washing machine and refridgerator.
Save the earth, electricity extremely precious in Myanmar. Switch off all electrical appliances when going (website hidden) footwear inside. Smoking ok, but do not burn the fabrics & linen..
Daviz and his family are very nice and friendly people, who would do a lot to help you. The apartment itself is quite new. If you will stay longer in the appartement you have to know, that there is no possibility to cook or even a fridge for your food to store.
The location is not near downtown Yangon but within walking distance to a big hypermarket and a local market or a backery store. During opening hours of the hypermarket there are always some taxis waiting at the parking lot so that it is easy to pick up a taxi to downtown. When the electricity is out, which happens almost once a day, there is nothing you could do, not even recharging a camera...
First of all, Daviz and his family are very nice and friendly people, who would do a lot to help the guests.
The apartment itself is new and spotless. The location is not near downtown Yangon but within walking distance to a big hypermarket, so quite convenient for having dinner or lunch (3 or 4 quite nice restaurants available) and for buying water, drinks, fruit or snacks etc.
Also during opening hours of the hypermarket there are always some taxis waiting at the parking lot so that it is quite easy to pick up a taxi to downtown (about Kyat 4000).
However.....the apartment was literally empty, with the exception of 2 mattresses. No tables, no chairs, no cupboards, no TV, no wifi, no possibility to cook or warm up food (microwave, stove, water cooker or coffeemaker). We did get some kitchenware later on.
Probably the apartment is not yet completely furnished when we came (as the first guests).
The apartment has the potential to become a nice and affordable place to stay for a short (or longer) period in Yangon, if those items now lacking would be provided (which we are confident that Daviz will do).
Only when the electricity is out (which happens regularly in Yangon), there is nothing you could do, not even recharging the batteries of your smart phone, cameras, lap top or tablet .....and with the AC out, the heat can be unbearable.....
Great place / good value , very clean and friendly.
