Just one block from the Malecon and the beautiful Bay of La Paz, you are truly in another world. Inside the very private walls of the Casita, you’ll find a cool, inviting, and intoxicating sanctuary that will be difficult to leave.
First - we have a strict 1-week minimum rental. Just wanted to get that out of the way before you spent time reading the description.
The main casita has two bedrooms with one queen bed in each. Both are directly off the main living space. The patio is a wonderful, private, peaceful retreat where you can unwind on a wrought iron chaise or love seat. The kitchen is in its own separate casita across the patio - a perfect arrangement!
Guest have access to cable TV and hi-speed wireless internet. We also furnish a local cell phone. You just have to purchase a phone card. We have beach chairs and umbrellas for your use as well.
Interaction with Guests
We are not on-property. The casita is a free-standing house. We have a wonderful manager who's a phone call away.
Casa Casita is centrally located in the heart of La Paz. It’s within walking distance to an incredible array of restaurants, grocery stores and shops. And, of course, the Malecon is only a block away - perfect for a stroll at sunset along the Bay. There’s even a Spanish language school to doors down! The town beaches are at the foot of our street, and the other beaches are a 20-minute drive from town. World-class diving, snorkeling, and fishing are all within easy reach in the beautiful Sea of Cortez!
It's easy to walk almost everywhere. Taxis are plentiful, though, and we're a short walk to the bus station if you're thinking about a day trip to beautiful Todos Santos.
Other Things to Note
The casita is in a very typical Mexican neighborhood - not a development or gringo community. We wouldn't have it any other way!
We hope that you enjoy your stay at Casa Casita. We also hope that you respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. Also - no smoking and no pets.
Great, clean, charming casita in the heart of La Paz. Just a block up the hill from the Malecon. Lavanderia two doors down that will do your laundry for you while you take im the sites. Close to some great restaurants too.
A lovely Casita in a lovely town. Decorated with character and warmth and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are detached from the main living & sleeping areas by a beautiful courtyard, a perfect place to sip coffee in the morning sunshine. The kitchen is very large & well equipped, however in the summer it got too hot to really stay in, not a problem for us but if you were planning to do a lot of cooking this might become an issue.
The town is a lovely mix of locals and Mexican vacationers. Quiet and friendly it is very hispanic with only a few gringos and thankfully free of the All Inclusivo crowd. The restaurants are numerous and universally good some of the beaches are world class. There's a little Gabriel Garcia magic in the airs of La Paz, hard to define but I think you'll feel it when you visit.
All our dealings with the host were straight forward and professional and we were sent a highly valuable guide to all things good in La Paz. Upon arrival we were greeted by the wonderful Ana who made doubly sure we were comfortably settled in before she left. The only technical problem we encountered (water pump) was dealt with speedily and efficiently.
Perhaps our best compliment is that we can't wait to return!
Paul & Joan travel the work as often s they can - which is - well - often. In addition to having recently completed photography assignments in Egypt, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Peru, they are also regular contributing editors for Cabo Living Magazine. Paul is also their lead photographer. On her own, Joan is a recognized and well-collected LA-based artist. Her paintings grace the walls of homes and businesses all over the world - and she recently completed a large painting that's the centerpiece of the lobby of the NBC/Universal headquarters. In other worlds, they're an artistic couple who love to travel. They've brought their world sensibilities to this little piece of paradise in La Paz, and are excited to share it with you! They know that you'll love it as much as they do!
