no smoking , no pets, no diving,
Nice two villa setup. Good quiet space with 2 decent rooms (5+ mosquito nets!), main room and kitchen downstairs and open 2 bed setup upstairs (if the villas are identical that is :).
Hostess Eunice and cook Christine are very nice and helpful. Eunice organized our clothes being washed and Christine (who also handles a bigger villa nearby) makes awesome coconut rice and fish (we went to buy the fish together with her from the frishers at the beach).
I suggest getting picked up by a local driver (named Boniface) from airport, is not crazy cheap (5500 KES) but was a nice drive + first AC car during our Kenya trip. He also took us to islands (mangroves and snorkling) and to a waterfall trip, both 5+.
House is located maybe 10 min walk from the end of the Diani beach tarmac road, easy transport by local matatu setup until sundown from there (50 KES to the local Nakumatt shopping center per person). We went running by the village and beach every other morning.
Several very nice restaurants in 10 min drive distance. All in all, very lovely place indeed :)
Beautiful property at a reasonable price.
We really enjoyed the house. It was clean and the property manager kept us stocked with clean towels.
The cook was great and we had some delicious meals. The location was a little remote (which we were looking for) but it was definitely walking distance to the beach and there are plenty of moto taxis in the area to take you further.
We had a nice stay at Silvio place.
The staff was so nice!
House was perfect!
We will come again!
Silvio was a great host and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The gardens peaceful and lush. Silvio was very helpful with providing information and advice. This is a lovely pace to stay particularly for locals who can bring their own food.
Jessy was there to greet us and make us feel at home. Agri the chef was amazing and I highly recommend him. He made us lobster for dinner one night and it was heaven. The accommodation is secluded down a dirt road, good if you want privacy. Overall good stay
This is a beautiful, quiet and very spacious villa. Walkable distance to the public beach access road and a matatu stop. The host, Silvio, doesn't live there, but the housekeeper Jessie is on-site 24 hours a day, and is a great hostess. She was very friendly and helpful; if you want to participate in any beach activities or excursions, she can set you up with her friends at a much better price than the big companies advertise, and always has suggestions for things to do and places to eat.
The only big issue we had was that the villa is extremely difficult to locate. I would highly suggest that you have Silvio set up a taxi pick up for you, as most taxi drivers are unfamiliar with Villa Dora or Papaya Gardens (it's a bit hidden, and off the main road where the major hotels are located).
