About the Host, Lara And Eric
My name is Lara and, together with my husband Eric, we have created The Wild Side. We wanted something different than what we normally find while travelling in Costa Rica. We wanted to offer an affordable stay, but it be at the same time elegant, simple, and, above all, clean. Our concept is geared toward single travellers or couples who want a quiet place to rest, a kitchen to prepare meals, and a base to enjoy what the area offers. We are very lucky to live in one of the most perfect locations along the coast. Our houses are literally minutes from unspoiled, empty beaches. Most people tell us that they see more animals in our own yard than in the national parks!
Originally I am from Savannah, Georgia, and Eric is from Sitges, Spain. We are both dedicated surfers and enjoy the peace of natural living.
I work as a hairstylist in my own jungle salon. Eric is an artist/woodworker..his handmade wooden toys can be found in specialty shops in Puerto Viejo.
