The Tiny Bunkhouse is a small place with a huge view. Situated on 25 acres of property shared by our home and abutting the magnificent Rio Grande Canyon, this is the perfect space for outdoor people who enjoy quiet and nature. Guests can walk to the canyon, hike down to the Rio Grande, fly-fish, picnic, all without getting in a car. The Sangre de Cristo mountains and Taos Ski Valley are a 30 min drive to the East. Taos is seven miles away - about twenty minutes by car.

The space
The space is small! The two sides are separated so you have to walk outside to access kitchen/living area from the sleeping area. One half is sleeping/bathroom. The bunk bed features a full lower bed and single upper. This is suitable for a couple in the lower bunk, or one in each bed. The bathroom has a sink, toilet and beautiful tiled shower. The other side has a small kitchen (not suitable for cooking big meals), couch, dining table and TV with HBO, Netflix etc, but not network TV. Dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved. Maximum of 1 medium dog (50 lbs) or 2 small dogs. (Under 25 lbs)
Please note that the property is shared by our home and we have cattle dogs who roams loose. They may bark, but are friendly to all dogs and people!

The house is situated at the end of a dirt road loop, so there is very little traffic. There are many artists and creative people in this area. Hot air balloons fly up from the gorge on most mornings and make a beautiful scene. The sunsets are absolutely amazing. The porch is a great place to sit and enjoy them.
