Even though our flight was late Lorna was there to greet us and show us around her beautiful flat in the evening.
We chose Lorna's flat as a typical London abode and were extremely happy with the cosy ambience and homely feel. The decor added to the cosiness and looked just like the pics. We wished we could have stayed longer. The area was an easy stroll to nearby shops, pubs and restaurants and walking distance to Portobello Road markets. Lorna gave us advice on local restaurants which we enjoyed. We would definitely recommend Lorna's gorgeous flat.
We had three separate stays at Lorna's apartment during our recent travels. Each time we were made to feel very welcome and this included a fridge stocked with essentials. The apartment is very cosy and comfortable and we really appreciated Lorna's flexibility where possible in accommodating our needs.
Lorna was very helpful, responsive and a warm host. She answered all my emailed questions. She even researched gyms and yoga studios upon my request and even got me two free passes to a neighborhood gym. She took the extra effort to provide gluten free choices for breakfast. She was there to greet us at the flat, showed us around, and gave us detailed written instructions and contact numbers. Her flat is in a very safe and convenient location, close to the tube from where one can connect to all parts of London. She was responsive during our stay too with any issues or question we had.
It was not quite clear that the flat is a third floor walk up, which was not much of a problem for me once the bags were carried up but could be an issue for older people or families with kids. The flat although cosy and very homely, just as in the pictures, looks a lot newer than it actually is. My daughter and I both had allergic reactions to the accumulated dust and allergens in the flat. We realized this as the symptoms would disappear when we were outside all day and re-appear upon our return to the flat. As I understood from Lorna, no one else had had the same problem and she was very happy to refund our money had we decided to move to another place. I do appreciate her generosity and concern in making sure we were comfortable during our stay.
Had a wonderful stay at Lorna's cosy apartment and Lorna is a fantastic host who made us feel so welcome from the first day. Her flat was a perfect home away from home getaway and is so beautiful. Loved absolutely everything about her home and will definitely return:). Thank you so much for everything, Lorna. We had such a great trip thanks to our airbnb experience with you.
I loved everything about my stay at Lorna's flat. The flat was immaculate and charming, the area was wonderful and so was Lorna, very responsive and gracious.
Lorna made us feel very welcome. This is the second time we have stayed at her flat and both times we found it more than adequate for our needs. She left us food for breakfast, which was very nice of her to do and saved us time in having to purchase it ourselves. The description of her flat is accurate and it is a very comfortable place to stay.
Me any my boyfriend, we stayed in Lorna's apartment over New Year's. Lorna sent the end of the year in Scotland, so we did not get to meet her in person, but she was activly in touch with us via email to make sure everything went smoothly. We picked up the keys from her neighbour, which was perfectly easy.
The apartment is situated in the lovely neighbourhood of Notting Hill and it is a short 10min walk to the famous Portobello Road, and if one hoppes on the bus 7 or the tube at Ladbroke Grove, one gets around the city easily and quickly.
The apartment itself is lovely, cozy and warmly decorated and had a very characteristic and british atmosphere and touch to it. One can spend a cozy, rainy afternoon in the comfy living room if the business of the city gets too much and the kitchen is perfectly equipped so that one can have breakfast or any meal in if one needs a break from the buzz of restaurants, bra and cafes.
We had a perfect, authentic experience in the lovely, homy apartment, I would recommend it to anyone and come back anytime!
