Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Tenting it, but not. Built on a platform, with 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower & a well-equipped little kitchen, this tent is the perfect getaway. Right between Gibsons & Sechelt, 20 minutes from the ferry, puts you close to everything the Sunshine Coast has to offer. Hiking trails, beaches, artisans, cafes and restaurants, micro-breweries, golfing, biking... there's something for everyone here. Just want to hang out and relax? Tangle Rock Farm is a quiet little oasis.

The space
Tangle Rock is a small organic farm built on permaculture principals. Along with fruits and veggies, there are chickens and a fairly quiet rooster named Fred.

Where you’ll be

Roberts Creek, British Columbia, Canada

Roberts Creek is right between Gibsons and Sechelt and has a much more rural feel. It's a very quiet area, but close to everything. A five minute drive from Tangle Rock puts you in the heart of Roberts Creek with the Gumboot Cafe & restaurant, Roberts Creek Pier and beach. Cliff Gilker Park, with beautiful trails for a relaxing walk, is close by and Roberts Creek is also home to many talented artists and a variety of galleries.

I was a critical care RN and worked in the film industry but I was a wanna-be farmer for a long time and decided to take the plunge a few years ago. It’s been a learning process to be sure! I love it. It’s hard work and never ending. Between this and my sugar gliders my kids think I’m crazy. So at least that part of my job is done!

During your stay

The tent at Tangle Rock is visible from the house, but only the outside of it. A tree blocks the eye line of the deck from the house, and the garden area is fenced, so your privacy is ensured. Having said that, this is a working farm and I’m here most of the time. If you need anything, I’m more than happy to help out (texting is probably the easiest way to find me - I’ll give you my number when you book). If you're interested in chickens, hugelkulture beds, vermicomposting, organic gardening or even sugar gliders, let me know and I can show you what we have at Tangle Rock.
