About this listing
Our home for lack of a better term, is a mini-mansion, and is conveniently located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. We rent three of our five bedrooms out on this site, so be sure to check out the other two listings. Each bedroom is a queen suite with a private bath. The house was custom built and is richly appointed with custom furnishings, oil paintings, hardwood floors, and 10 foot ceilings.
We live in a great neighborhood that any guest would feel at home in. As most reviews have noted, you can walk to everything from here. There's over a half dozen restaurants within a 10 minute walk. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens as well as Piedmont Park (Central Park of the south) are a short 15 minute stroll from our house.
Our home is located in a very safe neighborhood in Atlanta. I have no reservations walking back home after a late (email hidden) and luckily there are more than a half dozen that are walkable from our front door.
We're an easy 20 minute drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to our house. Although we're not near a MARTA train station, we are located directly on the bus line and convenient to both the Midtown and Lindbergh stations.
We'd love for you to stay with us and enjoy some of Atlanta's finest southern hospitality.
Beautiful paintings are throughout the house. The blue bedroom has " foggy meadow". A view from the bed lying down.
Monrovia is a great place to stay! The bedrooms are always clean, spacious and comfy. If you don't want to drive there are plenty of cool places to hang out, eat, drink, whatever you like within walking distance. I recommend downloading the UBER app for your smart phone and using it to get around town. It's cheap and easy to use. Phillip and Kyle are wonderful hosts! My friend rode down with me and stayed at the Mansion while I went to a concert. Phillip and Kyle were very nice to him and even invited him to have dinner with them. I highly recommend this place! Private, gated parking is awesome! The house is huge! Great location and very safe! See you next time guys! %^)
This was my second time to stay in the Blue Room at Monrovia. Phillip was a great host even though he was dressed up as a clown from hell for Halloween! Very fun, great house!
I had a great stay at Monrovia. The neighbourhood is great and the hosts go the extra mile to make their guests feel at home and comfortable.
Awesome place to stay and conviently located! Great prices and excellent hosts! Will def be staying there again!
Phillip was really kind with me from the very beginning.
He provided me with detailed information regarding the house and how to access it. The bedroom was better then in the picture; it was perfectly cleaned as the rest of the house.
The location is in a perfect spot between Midtown and the golf camps.
I would definitely recommend staying at his place.
My partner and I had a wonderful stay with Phillip for Music Midtown. The house was more that cute and very large for its location in Atlanta. Everything had a "lived in" feel in the living room and kitchen, which really helped keep the environment from feeling intimidating. We were in and out quite a bit, so we never had the opportunity to meet Phillip in person, though we stayed in ample contact via text. The walk to Piedmont Park was as advertised--the area that normally hosts festivals is the farthest part of the park from the house and ended up being about 25 minutes to walk from door to where we were actually trying to get. Having Publix and Kroger across the street was incredibly convenient in preventing us from spending unnecessary money. All in all a very positive experience!
We had a perfect stay at Monrovia. Phillip and Kyle were great hosts and the room is exactly as the description and previous reviews describe. We will be staying with them again!

About the Host, Phillip
A fun loving guy here, not pretentious in the least. There's no denying that we live in a mansion. Our home has 5 bedrooms, 9 baths, a 1,500 sq ft studio apartment in the attic and a home theater in the basement. I'd say that qualifies as a mansion, well mini-mansion.
We heard about airbnb and thought what a great idea. While I enjoy the extra income this is definitely more of a novelty for Kyle. What a great way to meet new and interesting people.
I work at what is undeniably "The wolds busiest airport". I'm a project manager for ExpressJet Airlines and have been in the aviation industry for the last 10 years.
I'm also the father of three totally amazing fifteen year old boys. When I'm not at home in Midtown, I am down in the country with my kiddo's and giving their Mother a much needed break.
