My boyfriend and I fully enjoyed our recent trip to Paris, and Christine's flat was the perfect base for our stay. It was just as advertised -- clean, well-furnished, and a generous amount of space for the two of us. We were appreciative of the kitchen, although we didn't use it much because of all the great dining options in the neighborhood, including Christine's excellent recommendation of Le Grappillon as the best local bistro, where almost everything features foie gras! The Centre Pompidou is just a 5-minute walk away, and it is also an easy stroll to the banks of the Seine, Notre Dame, and the Louvre. Thanks to Christine for being an attentive host. We hope to be back soon!
great location, and photos are a correct indication of how the flat looks.
First time using airbnb and it was a positive experience!
Christine's flat was amazing in both location as well as atmosphere. It is located really close to the metro as well as to some of the major tourist attractions (e.g.Notre Dame, Louvre)
Bonus: Right downstairs there are lots of creperies and dining options. We had a lot of take away crepes and kebabs!
The love hotels etc. were not troublesome. We felt safe walking down the street at night too.
Christine's apartment was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. (there are those flights of stairs- but you get used to it) It was colourful and felt very inviting. We could read books/listening to music/relax and watch the bustle of the streets below. We were there in the peak of Winter and the radiators kept us warm.
All in all, a fabulous accomodation. Would recommend it highly
The appartement is on a great location! Close to the metro and some highlights of the city. There are nice shops, restaurants and cafe's in just minutes from the place. We stayed there for 3 nights with 2 persons. I can imagine that it is a bit small for 4 people. And for four people there were few cutlery and drinking vessels.
The place was very tidy when we arrived. And we were very pleased with the personal tips from the owner.
We found the apartment to be absolutely, unbelieveably well situated. For us, tourists, 1st time in Paris - it is highly appreciated. Just outside the building you have a supermarket, and right away is the Les Halles center.
I would like to stress Christine's availability - at all times, quickly and positively responding. We did have special needs, and Christine made waivers and was very open.
We appreciate this very much.
Wi-Fi was also very helpful.
The apartment was wonderful! Exactly as the pictures showed. The location couldn't be better if it tried and it was so relaxing coming back from an adventurous day to a cozy place. It really felt like a home away from home! We did have complications getting the keys. We went to pick up the keys and they were not in the designated place, this delayed our original check in
time from the morning to the late afternoon. At first it was hard to reach Christine, but that was due to her being out of the country. That being said Christine was very accommodating to our needs and worked very efficiently to right the situation. She was also flexible to our group size, there was an extra person added on last minuet. We all appreciated the extra time spent with our visiting friend. Definitely make sure you read ALL the info she gives you. There is a lot to know and it may seem confusing but everything is there for you. The apartment fit all my friends comfortably and the recommendations and guides she supplies to her guests
were very helpful. At the end of the day I would book this apartment again the next time I travel to Paris. It was overall a great experience.
The apartment is very well situated in the 1st arrondissement making it very easy to walk to lots of sites and areas such as Beaubourg museum, St Eustache Church, Hotel de Ville, St. Chappelle, the Seine, the Latin Quarter, Le Marais and more. It's also extremely close to two metros: Etienne Marcel and Chatelet Les Halles. It's very convenient to get to if you are coming by metro or RER from any train station or the airport. The neighbourhood is lively with lots of urban clothing shops, restaurants and some bars down the street.
What I liked about my experience in this apartment: Christine was very fast in communicating with me regarding my stay, tea and coffee was provided for guests, it was well located and I loved that we could look out onto a church. It was a good size for two people and could accommodate up to four. It was also very nice to have access to a kitchen and washing machine.
We never met Christine, but were able to access the keys to the apartment without a problem. The heating and wifi worked well.
What I didn't like about my stay: the apartment could have been cleaner. Actually, when I first arrived with my friend, we were very surprised to find the apartment not cleaned. We were greeted with dirty towels, used sheets and floor and carpets in need of
vacuuming. We really didn't understand why the apartment was so dirty and were really disappointed. We had to let it go and just go out for the day to enjoy Paris. When we arrived to the apartment later that day around 5 pm, we discovered a cleaning lady there and then everything made sense, I.e. why the apartment had been so dirty when we arrived. The cleaning lady needed another hour to finish the apartment also. It was very strange and inconvenient and nothing was said to us about the late cleaning despite me texting Christine about it when it happened. Even after the cleaning lady left I felt that the apartment could have been cleaner. I am also not a fan of having to leave cash for the cleaning lady and would rather have this included in the price of the rental.
In the end I chose this place for its location and price, which are hard to beat.
