The Williams House is a Victorian home from the 1880s. It sleeps 16 guests in beds, 11 individually.
Located in the heart of historic downtown at 303 A north Main street, right behind the Gondola.
Building a frame house in Breckenridge before the arrival of the railroad was no small task. To erect this c.1881 house and the one next door (301 N. Main),Breckenridge saloonkeeper Joseph F. Reeder had to chop down trees, drag them to the sawmill, have them milled for different uses—siding, flooring, shingles, etc.—and let them dry. Inflating the cost of construction was the need to pack finished building materials—nails, paint, and doors— over a high mountain pass at a cost of forty cents per pound.
In 1888, John Williams, a hardrock miner, and his wife, Minta, purchased the house as their home. After John and Minta’s separation in 1890, Minta and their daughter, Ethel, continued to live here until 1906, renting it out from time to time as they pursued an acting career for

SKI IN/GONDOLA OUT! - Most ideal Location at 303 North Main street. Ski access is a 2/3 minutes walk to the GONDOLA (fly to Peak 8), SKI-IN via the Skiway (3/4 min walk from House). And, unlike true ski in/out homes, it is also just steps from all Shopping & Dining. No car needed, everyone just comes and goes at their leisure.
The stay at the house was excellent. Access to the house was easy, and the location is ideal - very close to the gondola and restaurants/bars.
Wow!! I spent my birthday weekend at the Williams House and what a great house for a large group of people. The location was fantastic, too, especially if you ski or board. The house was beyond my expectations. The hot tub was fantastic and the mud room up front made it easy to store skis, boards and equipment. Thijs was communicative with me from the beginning and Amanda who cares for the house in Breck worked with me when my car wouldn't start the day we were supposed to check out. We would have had no where to go so very appreciative of that. Overall, fantastic place and I am looking for a reason to get a large group of people together again!
Great location in downtown Breck with ample parking. Home was as advertised, we were very happy with our stay. Lots of space, great kitchen and dining area. Owner made the process easy.
We used the house for a family reunion. Having 7 rooms and 7 bathrooms was just great and very helpful when getting ready for the day. This house is right downtown on main street but still feels private. It was a great location because it worked well for the shoppers, hikers and families with small children. We rode bikes, hiked, went ice skating, to a concert and rode the gondola. Amanda responded to questions we had in a timely manner and things went very smoothly. Feedback from all the family members was very positive.
Friends and I had a reunion here for 3 days and 2 nights. Our group included 10 adults and 7 children. This house is absolutely beautiful and had plenty of room for us. We loved that each of our rooms had our own bathroom! We also loved how close the house was to bars, restaurants, and shops. There are 5 parking spots which were perfect for our 4 cars! The host was very responsive. I would definitely make reservations again from him.
We had the pleasure of renting the Williams House for a weekend conference, hosting 16 regional leaders for a veteran-focused disaster response non-profit. We had plenty of space, plenty of beds, plenty of bathrooms (and hot water!). The amenities were exactly as described and we were overall very pleased with the location/house. The kitchen was able to accomodate feeding all 16 folks and the atmosphere was just great. The customer service of the owner and the property manager were fantastic - with quick turnarounds, pleasant communication, and an overall sense of accomodation. The directions were effective - and the views were just lovely. The house came with parking (and passes), wif directions, and even small amenities like blow-dryers, shampoo and conditioner, and spices for cooking. We'd recommend this place and definitely return again. THANKS!
