This is what you come to the mountains for! The Glass Mountain Treehouse is poised mountainside overlooking tranquil ponds in a picturesque setting. This natural log cabin was lovingly built by a local artisan with trees milled from the land. It is nestled on 4 hikeable acres. You'll appreciate the scenic drive that is just under thirty minutes to downtown Asheville and even less to Black Mountain. There are so many activities to do within an hour whether your passions take you inside or out.

The space
Unique rustic mountain retreat with many exciting things to do on-site, i.e. rock staircases, numerous ponds, bold rushing creeks with waterfalls, open loft area, open decking, etc. Parents with young children strongly cautioned. The master suite is the entire upstairs loft with privacy screen. Maybe the reading nook nestled across the suspended walkway will be your favorite spot. Mine is the natural log and glass shower with pebble floor surrounded by windows that open for an outdoor shower experience.

Guest access
The entire cabin is yours! The master suite is an open loft with a privacy screen. There are full size and single futons in the living area. These open spaces are what we are referring to as shared space. Our property runs down to the creek and up the ridge line to the right of the driveway. You're welcome to explore around unless it's fenced off or you see signs.

Other things to note
We are off a shared driveway that can be tricky to see after hours, GPS is usually spot on! Make the hard right turn and follow the driveway over the bridge and stay to the right and you'll see the Treehouse perched mountainside on the right.

The treehouse is off the beaten path yet convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Our favorite place to eat is The Local Joint. It's attached to a gas station on Hwy 74 so you probably wouldn't expect such a "foodie" menu! Our closest neighbor, Victor, is a world renowned glass artist and all around renaissance man, he's building the home below so feel free to say hi!
