About this listing
Welcome to Dublin.
The twin room has two single beds and use of a large guest bathroom. Essentials are available and fresh towels provided. Free wifi throughout the house. A self service breakfast is available every morning. Please note check in/out times
Please please please upload a photo of yourself so we know who we are sharing our home with. Our listing is not suitable for people travelling with babies or young children. No co-sleeping. We do not accept minors under the age of 18 years in any circumstance.
Ireland has now become the first country in the world to legalise Gay Marriage so come stay with us on your honeymoon. We can help you plan day trips and tours and places of interest to go to see.
You will be sharing the house with us, Superhosts. The house is located on a quite road minutes walk from the park, bus stop and train station. The house is newly built with lovely bright airy rooms. We are only 9km from the airport which is approximately 15 minutes by taxi. We are 10.5km into the city and in off peak times takes approximately 25 minutes by bus and only 20 by train. While we are not in the city centre it is a pleasant area, one bus/train journey into the city. Dublin city centre is very small and once you hop off the bus or train everything is at your fingertips.
Parkedge overlooks Father Collins Park; this fantastic 22 acre facility designed by Argentinian Architects, Abelleyro & Romero, combines a mixture of landscaping, art, architecture and water features. The park offers playing pitches, a cycle/running track, and exercise equipment.
The house is over three floors. On the ground floor you have access to the kitchen and a downstairs toilet. You can use the kitchen for preparing and eating meals except in the evening between 5pm and 7pm when we use it to prepare our dinner. We do not have a microwave. No cooking after 8.30pm. We prefer if we were home when you use the cooker for fire safety reasons as it is gas. Always ask us to show you how to turn it on and more importantly off.
As we work long hours the living room is only available during the day when we are at work. We are usually in the living room in the evening winding down after work so if you have any concerns or questions pop in and we'll try sort you out.
Breakfast table will be set for you every morning. Cereal, brown bread and fruit are available. Tea, coffee and juice also. Please inform us of any dietary requirements. We can then tailor your breakfast if we know in advance. If you prefer croissants/white bread instead of the traditional Irish Brown bread let us know. Breakfast till 11am on Sunday. The first floor has two guest bedrooms and a large modern bathroom. On occasions when the two rooms are in use you will have to share the bathroom. We try to limit this as much as we can.
You can use the garden weather permitting to sit in and smoke if you wish or enjoy a glass of wine/beer.
Interaction with Guests
We always greet our guests personally and are available by email/text anytime. We assume most of our guests are tourists and will spend most of their time in Dublin exploring and sightseeing. We have lots of maps and information on places to go and see which you can help yourself to.
Please note we are not in the city centre but in a quiet suburb outside it, our prices reflect this. It is a residential area with lovely neighbours .We are however only 15 minutes away from the airport by taxi. It is a relatively new area that is constantly being updated.
We are probably more suited to tourists who are in Dublin for a week or less. We are not very suitable for people moving to Dublin or long stays as you do not have access to the whole house.
In our neighbourhood we have a Chinese & Italian restaurant and also a fish & chip shop beside us. Our local shop has all you need for a quick snack in the day. You can get your bus tickets here. The local swimming pool is a 5 minute walk and our fabulous award winning park a 2 minutes walk.
The local cinema is only 15 minutes away by bus
We are very well served by bus and train. Bus into and out of the city cost €3.30 or €2.60 by leap card one way. We can provide you with a leap card for the duration of your stay for you to top up. Please remember to leave it back with us at the end of your stay. The bus terminus is on our doorstep and depending on traffic takes 25/30 minutes to get to the city during off peak times. By train we are 19 minutes into the city. The train will also take you to the fabulous coastal villages of Malahide and Howth. The airport is only 15 minutes away by taxi.

Liam was a great host. He communicated very well from check-in all the way through the end of my stay. Lots of recommendations nearby and a lovely new home. I would stay with Liam again. Hopefully next time I get to meet Aisling. Felt very much at home with full privacy. Highly recommended
Bonne adresse, logement tres propre et accueillant ! Idéal pour reprendre l'avion a Dublin !
Merci à vous !
Liam gave us a very warm welcome was very friendly (unfortunately we didn't meet Aisling). He even organized a taxi for us that brought us to the airpot at 4am and borrowed us some duct tape to fix our overstuffed bags :) (Thanks again! The bag actually made it back home unscathed)
Our room as well as the bathroom were very tidy and clean. We would definitely come again! Next time for more than one night.
This home was beautiful and quite comfortable. The bathtub was large and the bedroom was both comfortable and incredible quiet during the daytime, very peaceful. Breakfast was amazing! They took the time to give us little shot glasses of cut fresh strawberries (delicious) as well as bread, delicious and healthy cereal, and other things. The neighborhood was quiet and extremely close to the bus station which was a convenient way to get to city center (€2.60 each way with the card provided to us by the hosts). Overall a very enjoyable stay, definitely recommend!
Everything was accurate to the listing description. Host was helpful and welcoming
La description du logement était correcte. Lima nous a accueilli et nous a bien expliqué les règles ainsi que les moyens de transports.
Enjoyed our stay with Aisling and Liam, quite a late booking on my part but they were able to accommodate us no problem. Great communication, lots of info before departure, prompt replies to queries, very professional. Also lent us "leap" cards for public transport and even kept my bike inside the house which I appreciated a lot. Thanks guys.

About the Host, Aisling & Liam
My husband and I are in our early 30's and like to travel alot. We have used airbnb in the past to book an apartment in Paris, Prague, Rome, London, Oslo, Brussels, Bruges, Berlin, Budapest, Edinburgh, Kraków, Madrid, Barcelona, San Francisco and more recently Cologne and Zurich. Liam works in the Civil Service and I'm a Special Needs Assistant in a main stream secondary school. We are very easy going and love to see and try new experiences all the time. We got married in April 2012 and after our honeymoon in Airbnb apartments we decided to become hosts.
