Patricia made us welcome and provided a small selection of groceries plus essentials for the bathroom and appliances. The villa is on a spacious plot shaded by tall trees. This is probably excellent in summer but in February meant that the winter sun struggled to warm the patio, …
Response from Patricia:
Well, we obviously feel sorry that the villa has not fulfilled your expectations. However, I’d like to clarify certain subjects as I find some observations certainly unfair. First of all, we find it’s quite common to find northern people complain about the trees in general. I will only point out the fact that in this area of the country, 80% of the time in the year we are above 20ºC. And 50% above 25ºC. The desertic areas are spreading year by year and trees are a blessing for us, although some might prefer awnings and air conditioning… Regarding the heating, it must have been the language barrier that has led us to this. This was clearly an Airbnb’s web incidence when they updated it not long ago. In the old version of the web there was difference between central heating and electric heaters. We only marked electric heaters. When updated, and after our little misunderstanding we checked the web and YES, you were right, both options came to one and central heating was offered and therefore you got the impression that there was lack of transparency. Completely out of our hands/knowledge, but when we realized, we then provided you with what was offered on the web. We are very glad that your laundry dried up fast. It’s not common here, due to high levels of humidity, usually over 75/80% as the sea is so close. Again I believe you got me wrong. If you would have used the washing machine every single day of your stay, we probably wouldn’t have paid more than 4/5€ for the electricity, so my comment had nothing to do with me not wanting you to use it to save money, but quite on the contrary, I was trying to warn you about this circumstance and avoid you'd return home with humid clothes that would smell upon arrival. Such a shame I wasn’t able to make myself clear and that you took all my comments so badly… I do admit my English is improvable… Finally, we’d like to inform you that except for the month of August, when we receive huge amounts of foreigners as well as our own nationals coming to the coast, the rest of the year Moraira and especially our Urb. is as peaceful as you’ve lived it.
