Easy access to the heart of DC (20-25 min) by car, or you can take a quick bus to the Silver Spring metro station.
Owner cares that guests like their stay so much, they wish to return. She's an encyclopedia of DC knowledge (but will not barrage you with information unless you want it).
Comfy private bedroom with beautiful view of the woods. Mattresses and pillows encased in bed bug protectors for your safety (we've not had ANY issues in the past, and I'd like to keep it that way! Gorgeous brand new custom jacuzzi bathroom in the hall, shared by one other room.

Laundry available for $5/extra per load.
Enjoy a meal on the patio, with a lovely water view out back.
There's a loving 20-pound dachshund named Riley and a 40-pound beagle/hound mix named Annie who live to be petted. Barking is usually reserved for knocks on the door and other than that they are usually quiet.
Sherri and David are the friendliest most accommodating hosts we could have hoped to have. And the beds are extremely comfortable! The question isn't whether we'd stay with them again, it's when!
My wife and I were in the area for a funeral. We booked the room maybe 2 nights before the trip (really short notice), but she took us in and was very helpful. From the first night we talked about everything and the conversation was great, we basically just became good friends. The dogs were nice and her house felt like a home. Her Husband David was a really nice guy, we talked about everything also and he was also very helpful. They went over and beyond what was expected of them, helping me organize a visit to the dentist and making changes to the breakfast to accommodate us.
it wasn't uncomfortable in the house and we were able to use the fridge and their eating utensils at our leisure. The beds were to die for and i would be looking for one for myself. Best sleep i've had in a while.
I am definitely going to be staying there when next i'm in the area. I have another family in DC now for sure.
I stayed with Sherri for a few days while doing research at the National Archives nearby. The room was wonderful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Sherri was a superb host, and the stay actually included breakfast each morning - all at a very reasonable price. The only downside is that the house is a bit distant from the metro, though I had access to a car and a bus stop is just down the street. Overall, I was very impressed, and I will likely try to stay with Sherri the next time I need to be in the area.
Beautiful, clean, and cozy room. It was easy to get to DC from the location and there is a wonderful trail nearby for a run or hike in the morning. Thank you both for the guides of the area and for your professional hospitality!
Luxurious, comfortable and modern, this place is beautiful and very clean, Sherri has taken care of every detail you can imagine so your stay is as pleasant as possible. You feel welcomed and at home the minute you step in the door. I travel often and see many different setting and meet various hosts but this is the real deal. Sherri and her boyfriend are good people and I am very happy to have the pleasure of knowing them.
John and I had a wonderful time. Sherri et al were wonderful hosts.
It was the perfect time to get a doggy fix since I am petless at present. The accommodations were lovely. Just a short drive to the metro and then a quick ride into D.C. I do believe that we are now confirmed airbnbers!
Sherri's place was perfect for our stay there. Nice, quiet location which we craved after a week in New York. Sherri was very helpful and extremely friendly, going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. After travelling away from home for over 3 months it feels like you are staying at a friends place, where you can just crash on the couch and play with her dogs. Much more enjoyable than a hotel! What made a huge difference for us was having our own private bathroom. Previous air bnb stays we shared bathrooms with strangers- I don't mind this if you have to but after awhile you get over that, I'm past hostel experiences :)
Sherri was quite charming. And although my stay was short - she was extremely friendly and solicitous :-)
Sherri and her pups (Riley and Annie) were very welcoming. The condo was very comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. Sherri is very knowledgeable about the area (Silver Spring, Baltimore, DC, Northern VA) which was very helpful as well. I enjoyed my four week stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Sherri is the sweetest! My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and would be more than happy to return when back in the area. In fact, my son has already made the request!
