Nestled between Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach is this great little apartment (1 of 5), furnished with an eye for design, with exceptional panoramic views of beautiful Hahei Beach and its island outcrops.

It’s private, clean, comfy, newly painted and decorated and super stylish. Just a few minutes walk down to the beach – and local cafés, restaurants, wineries and craft breweries are all just minutes away by car. This is a great place for a holiday and the landscape will not disappoint.

The space
This is a great place for a romantic beach getaway and has its own private sunny balcony and unlimited free Wi-Fi (your own private connection).

Extras include a spade for digging your private hot pool at Hot Water Beach, a beach umbrella and umbrella.

There are Ecostore (Safer for you and the world) plant-based products throughout, including Body Wash, Hand Wash, Shampoo and Conditioner. The house is cleaned with natural products too!

The kitchen has two hobs, a fridge and microwave. There is a good selection of cutlery, utensils, a coffee plunger, serving bowls and nice pots and pans.

There are two heaters in the apartment and plenty of blankets to keep you warm in winter.

The apartment is the size of a generous one bedroom hotel room plus balcony and was built in the 1980's so has retro touches.

Where you’ll be

Hahei, Waikato, New Zealand

In this popular area of the Coromandel you will find a number of coastal walks including Cathedral Cove and also the Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve. Plant, fish and other animal communities thrive in the marine reserve, and the clear sheltered waters are perfect for snorkelling, diving and boating. There is a wealth of historical and cultural heritage on the Coromandel with some historic sites dating back over 800 years, including some of the earliest settlement sites in New Zealand. Many sites are wāhi tapu (sacred) so access is restricted or denied. Visitors must respect this, but other sites such as Opito
Pā, Whitianga Rock and Te Pare Pā are accessible in this area.

Hot Water Beach is located a few kilometres south of Hahei. For 2 hours either side of low tide you can dig into the sand, tap into the hot springs and create your own thermal pool. (Take care if swimming in the sea here as there can be dangerous currents.)
