Pamucak Beach: is a favorite spot to take a picnic and is particularly beautiful at sunset, if you’re feeling adventurous you can trek across the beach on horseback or hire a quad bike.

We came with a crowded group (five adults, plus a two-year-old and a ten-month-old) for a one-week-stay, to do historical research on the medieval monuments of Selcuk and had a wonderful stay at the Bethany House. The place was near perfect for us: lots of rooms and beds to distribute ourselves comfortably over the entire house, a courtyard with lemon trees and a plunge pool to keep the little ones happy while the mothers were out working, walking distance to the Austrian excavation house and all the sites and monuments we needed to visit (or to anywhere else important in town, for that matter), a well appointed kitchen (we still did a few trips to the nearby dollar store to buy items we needed since we were cooking proper meals, such as a pyrex dish for the oven), a/c, and so on. Wifi would have been great, since we needed access to library catalogues and email, but we were told in the excavation house that there is a general problem with the Wifi infrastructure in the area.
Menekşe was extremely helpful in setting up a baby cot in one of the rooms and finding an excellent local babysitter for us, ordering drinking water, and anything else. She was always very quick to respond and help us with requests which were probably a bit unusual since we had different needs than someone vacationing there.
We are planning to be back next summer for further research and hope to stay at the Bethany House again.
Excellent home with a backyard with lemon trees. 5 minute walk to all the restaurants and cafes. Menekshe is very friendly and helpful. The only downsides to the house are no tv and no wifi. But all the cafes and restaurants in town have wifi. We missed having a tv only because world cup was going on. We would definitely stay here again!
Thank you for your nice review. It is nice to hear that you had a lovely time in Selçuk and at Bethany House. Thank you for beeing nice and friendly. You have a very nice family. Hope to see you here in Selçuk and welcome you again. Best wishes to you and your family. Menekşe
My husband, myself and our two friends stayed here for 3 nights. When we checked in, Menekşe met us and gave us great tips of the areas to visit, including her favorite beach. We also briefly met her daughter who is adorable! The place itself is great, we spent one night inside and cooked dinner. With 3 bedrooms, we had plenty of space. The location is also perfect, just a short walk into downtown Selcuk. I highly recommend!!
