In such a compact city as San Francisco, space is a luxury, and in this spacious private apartment, you get a comfortable and peaceful stay with access to a private kitchen and bathroom! A queen sized bed is provided as well as a sofa bed for 2 extra guests. It can fit up to four people comfortably. It comes with wireless internet service and a color T.V.
A centralized location, you are a block away from the L Taraval MUNI bus that would take you directly to Downtown San Francisco, where you can visit Union Square among Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Nieman Marcus, the Orpheum Theatre with quaint restaurants. It is 2.5 miles from S.F. State University.
Three blocks away from the beach, you can enjoy a hike with a nice view of the ocean, go surfing, or take a quiet stroll along the coast. Driving is 7 minutes to the famous Cliff House and Beach Chalet where you can dine while you watch the beautiful sunset. It is just 5 minutes walking distance to the Java Beach Café, a popular coffee and sandwich shop with free wifi and outdoor seating and the San Francisco Zoo. Within walking distance, you will find a pharmacy, bakery, ethnic restaurants such as Chinese, Japanese, or Thai, post office, supermarket and many other shops.
A piano is available in the apartment, and you may jingle a few tunes as you wish, or if you happen to be a concert pianist, you have the chance to keep up your fingers even while away from home.
Street parking is available 24/7 except for street cleaning once every other week. The laundromat is located one block away for your convenience.
Please keep the place in its original clean condition, with dishes washed and trash in the bin.

The space was great; photos were pretty much exactly accurate, and we had complete privacy. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. As noted in other reviews, there is piano playing during the day, but I knew to expect that, and it was never before 9am. So it was really perfect for us, on a work trip, where we were gone most of the day anyway.
This place is only about 2 blocks from the beach; you can walk there in 10min. It's in a quiet neighborhood, and the hosts are friendly and available.
The piano lessons overhead were fun too and not so loud as to overpower the activities in the guest space.
We liked the whole stay a lot, and would definitely stay again.
Jennifer and her airbnb space were delightful. Quiet, private, and accommodating.
When Mr. McKim arrives at our location, we showed him around the area, where to go for food and public transportation and answered some questions. He mentioned he has back pain. We offered him parking right on the property (although it is not provided to everyone). He also mentioned of his back surgery several weeks ago. Sorry to hear that he felt uncomfortable about the furniture.
Seemed like it would be off the beaten track in SF, but great location -- 3 blocks from the beach (the Sunset neighborhood is well-named), and around the corner from the Muni public transit stop ($2, 30 minutes to downtown!).
Pretty average accommodations, but so much more economical than trying to get a hotel room. Bathroom and furnishings are dated (the sofa bed is easier to sleep on as a sofa than as a bed), but a studio with a little kitchen was very useful for the two of us.
The Lee family was terrific - lost the keys, but no big deal. The occasional piano lesson was very entertaining!
The apartment was very clean and roomy. The bed slept well, shower hot. We didn't cook, but can confirm a spotless refrigerator and kitchen area. The apartment is located a few blocks from the ocean which was very nice. Jennifer provided parking for our rental car we had for 2 days. Public transportation a block away. Use it often, and don't be taken in by the Hop-On/Hop-Off buses. NOT worth it...you can easily navigate the city on public transportation a LOT cheaper (buses are more frequent also) This was our first trip to San Francisco. We thought the city was ok...but being from a big city (Chicago) we don't get excited by other big cities!! For us a 2-3 day trip around the city would be enough. It was cool to see the Golden Gate and Alcatraz. Golden Gate Park is beautiful, but be warned it is HUGE. The 'attractions' all cost to enter. I suggest if you like to bike ride to rent one across from the Japanese Tea Garden entrance (it's a bit behind a pavillion - if you don't see it ask someone at the Tea Garden to point it out). If you rent a car check out Armstrong State Park (about a 2 hr ride north) on your way you can visit the Korbel winery where they grow and bottle Korbel champagne. A short tour is free and you get a free tasting also. By the way, if you like a good Italian meal go to the Gold Mirror restaurant on Taravel. Happy travels!
Thanks Paula for enjoying our apartment and glad to know that you had a good time in SFO despite government closures of some of the landmarks tourists come here to see.
We also enjoyed wineries in Napa. Thanks for writing this review and private one too, and we appreciate your comments.
Take care and welcome back any time for you and your friends.
The apartment was clean and spacious, with all the amenities we needed for the week. The location was perfect as well - quiet and within close walking distance to both the beach and public transportation. Highly recommended!
We had such a nice stay here. The apartment was comfortable and furnished with everything we could have needed, including coffee for the mornings and maps of the city and brochures with information on local attractions. Once we were all checked in we had complete privacy for our entire stay. The location was *wonderful*: 2 blocks from the beach, close to a few nice produce and locally-owned grocery and convenience stores, up the street from the trolley into town, and a 5-minute walk to the zoo, which we really enjoyed. It was quiet and felt very safe at night. We would recommend this apartment to friends and strangers alike.
We were lucky to find Jennifer's place on airbnb, where we stayed over Labor Day weekend. It's a spacious place with a nice kitchen area and large bathroom, just right for my daughter, son and me when we were visiting my eldest daughter who lives nearby. It was clean and comfortable, and would consider staying again for my next visit. We were also lucky to find a parking space right in the front. Thank you, Jennifer!
We had a super time, there was enough space for the three of us.
We got into the city easily by train/ bus.
The shore nearby for a long walk, unfortunately it was cloudy most of the time.
We got all the information we needed for shopping, having dinner, etc, thanks Jennifer
Pleasant and accommodating hosts. Overall a great stay! Comfortably fit 4 for the weekend and very close to the beach, cafes, and public transportation. Thanks!
