My home is close to the Italian Market area of center city
, A close walk to the train,Downtown center city shopping,
South street shopping, Bars and restaurants. Comforts of a neighborhood while close to all center city has to offer. Plenty of parking on the surrounding streets (first come first serve). The place has high ceilings, a wonderful southern facing space for lots of natural sunlight. A modern Kitchen, and private bathroom, also a second air bed is available that can be set up in the same bedroom as the master bedroom. for people traveling together that need a second bed.
Please feel free to ask me about the city and fun things to do. I have been here for many years and know the area very well. I would be happy to suggest great places to eat and great places to shop. We are lucky to be so close to the Italian Market where there are very inexpensive produce stands, 100 + year old Bakeries, delicious coffee houses. Fresh meat markets, where you can buy aged steaks, rabbit and a variety of sausage from venison to Buffalo, seafood's of all kinds and everything else your pallet desires like hand made pasta that people wait in long lines for around the holidays to add to our holiday dinners. all available in a two block walk from my place. Water ice, Pretzels and cheese steaks too.
Philadelphia has so much to offer in walking distance of my place there is not much chance you will get bored, but if you can't think of anything to do, just ask me and I'll do my best to point you toward some of our attractions that won't break the bank.

It was my first time with airbnb and Jonah (email hidden). He was really friendly and helpful. He gave us a lot of tips and showed us a little bit of Philadelphia. He was like a friend and we liked to spend time with him.
The House was clean, the rooms were big and we could use the kitchen.
So everything was really really perfect. I hope we will see him the next time we come to (website hidden): I fell in love with his wonderful sweet dog! :)
Wonderful, quiet, relaxing room in easy walking distance to center city and subway. Jonah is charming and conscientious. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Lovely place in a quiet little street. Surprisingly quiet! (Quieter than my own house in the woods!) Jonah was really helpful: rode with me to find parking near by (you can't park on his street), gave me advice about taxis and bus tokens to get to the event I was attending. Really nice kitchen (which I didn't use) and very private! I'll definitely stay again.
Jonah (email hidden), he was both cheerful and helpful. The upstairs bedroom/floor is very private, clean and full of light. The on-suite bathroom is great. Molly the dog is also fabulous company. Thanks for having us to stay. This was a great experience.
Jonah (email hidden). He was able to comfortably accommodate all four of us in his home. Very knowledgeable and willing to be a reference for what to see and eat in the city. The neighborhood is conveniently located and a quick walk to trains, restaurants, museums, you name it! We also really enjoyed getting to meet his very well behaved dog. Thanks again!
My husband and I stayed at Jonah's for 2 days. He is a very considerate host. Very prompt in his reply. Helped us find parking( which was not at all a hassle) and gave us suggestions of restaurants, which were tried and loved!
As for the apartment, the room is on the third floor with a private bathroom so it's completely private. It's quite large and very clean. And the location of the apartment couldn't have been better. It's on a quitet street but minutes away from the Italian market and some good Vietnamese restaurants. A short walk to city hall and all the cool bars in town. Jonah did offer us his bike for use, but we enjoyed walking around the city.
Overall experience was very good. I would definitely recommend this place.
Jonah and Molly were gracious hosts, making us feel right at home. Jonah was quick to provide directions, suggestions, advice for everything Philly related. City is within walking distance, if you're accustomed to walking (which we were, coming from NYC).
The apartment was clean and well maintained. Jonah lives on the first floor, the second floor is the kitchen and living room area, and the bedroom/bathroom are on the 3rd floor. For us, it was the perfect space (3 people) to drop in and out of. No wifi, and cable is sporadic...but no one travels to stay in on their computer or watching TV anyway...so wasn't much of a concern for us.
Jonah (email hidden) and the Carriage House is a perfect crashpad after a long day of exploring all of the wonderful nearby neighborhoods as well as the big historic sites of Philadelphia. Very comfortable bed with fresh sheets and private bath with fluffy towels. Jonah is there to offer help and advice when you need it and gives you all the privacy you need as well. Staying here made our stay very enjoyable.
This was our first Airbnb experience so we didn't know what to expect. We chose the apartment because it was located near our daughter's new apartment. We liked the location - there's an interesting neighborhood feel and people decorate their doorway stoops and sidewalks with big potted herbs and flowers. There aren't many restaurants or shops right there, but it's a short distance to the great Italian market and restaurants on and round 9th street, and Rittenhouse Square is not too far for a walk. The apartment has character. You walk in and go up a flight to the kitchen and small living area. Then up another flight to a large bedroom with bathroom and a tiny balcony. Jonah is friendly and seemed willing to help you plan activities and restaurants, which we would have appreciated if our daughter wasn't planning our agenda.
Staying at Jonah's place was greats the apartment was space-full on 2 floors (living room kitchen on 1st and the room bathroom on 2nd) it comfortably accommodated all 4 of us. Jonah was very helpful on what to do in Philly and he was a very nice and open minded person.
I think the stay at Jonah is totally worth it, plus it is 10-15min walking distance to the best places on south street! He also has a tandem for guests use!
Will definitely recommend it over and over again. All together we had an amazing time, thank you again Jonah!
