  • My family of 5 aged 6-1 had a great time staying at this location. It was perfect for little kids ( as soon as we removed a few of the more fragile decorations) and was a great location.

From the start Monica was unbelievably fast in responding and was able to answer all of the questions that I had quickly and efficiently. She is a true professional at what she does and not only helps you find and finalize the condo rental quickly and efficiently she also provides great advice and recommendations during your stay. I fell ill right at the beginning of my trip and she recommended a hospital to stay at. She clearly goes above and beyond what is expected of a typical rentee.

The Apartment is just what it looks like, with bright lively colors and a superb location. The best part is the access to the beach right across the street in the Reef hotel. You get to use the hotels facilities ( pools, lounge chairs and beach) but you don't have to pay the "all inclusive" price. It is in a very secure part of PDC, we felt at ease walking back in the dark after hours. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we had a blast cooking and using all of the counter space. They also provide bedding and towels both for the apartment and for the beach.

Its important to note that the condo is is Playacart a gated community a bit south of PDC. 5 avenida is just a 10-15 minute walk away but the main food stores ( Soiriana and Chedauri) are a 15 minute taxi ride that cost about 70 pesos ( 6 bucks) each way. Renting a car is an option and there is ample parking space but its important to note that it's not in the middle of PDC, which is a good thing is you are looking for something a bit more low key and relaxed.

The two slightly negative things about the apartment are the street noise. There are quite a few cars that drive in front of the condo at all hours, its normal level of noise for Mexico or a city but for us it was a tad bit loud. We did keep the windows open all the time and I'm sure that if you close the windows and turn on the AC then you won't hear anything. Finally, the master bedroom's bathroom smelled of strong chemicals, and try as we might we couldn't get rid of it. It was so bad that we ended up using the other bathroom. Again, we may be a bit on the sensitive side, but it was a bit of a pain and it may have been because we kept all of the windows open. In the end they were two very minor issues in an otherwise beautiful and restful condo.

I would Strongly recommend this place for families with young children, or for a family gathering. There is plenty of space for everyone and really easy access to the beach.

If you have any further questions feel free to reach out to me.

About
I'm originally from Amsterdam but in 1999 I chose the sunny skies of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The same year I became a PADI dive instructor and the following years I spent a lot of time swimming around in the beautiful Caribbean waters. In 2006 I got the opportunity to look after a beautiful villa in Playacar. This is when I found out this work suited me really well. The rest is history, I started a property management and vacation rental business called Latido de Mexico. Now, 5 years later I'm still enjoying my job and my life in Playa del Carmen.
