Tamborine Mountain is part of the Scenic Rim. Everywhere you turn you will see mountains. In 1908 Queensland's first National Park was declared- Witches Falls on Tamborine Mountain.
.Australia's most accessible World Heritage-listed rainforests are spread throughout the 8 National Parks of the Scenic Rim. The natural landscape is stunning!
It is a world of sub-tropical, eucalyptus and cycad rainforest featuring an abundance of easy walks and magnificent views of the Gold Coast and the national parks of The Scenic Rim.
There is much to do and see:
The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk puts you in the canopy with the wildlife. This is in the top 2 attractions on the Mountain, the other being the Glow Worm Caves.
If you are a daredevil, you can hitch a ride with a local hang glider, or you can be an onlooker.
Meander down Gallery Walk, a run of intriguing shops, restaurants, art galleries.
If food and wine are more to your taste, visit the Cheese Factory, or The Belgian Chocolate Shop, or the boutique breweries and distilleries
.Buy some locally grown organic veggies, a bunch of native flowers, or a coffee.
The Big News: something akin to Mr. MacGregors Garden is now open ,opposite St., Bernard's School. This is the vegetable garden that Gardening Australia needs to know about. Purple cauliflowers, heritage tomatoes- red, yellow and green, all types of different salad greens----all for sale between 7,30-9.30 Tues, Thurs & Sunday com See more at (email hidden)

We enjoyed staying at Trish's mountain retreat... it was such beautiful surroundings and everything we wanted in a holiday home was within easy reach. There are some great cafes and activities nearby but it is also just a lovely place to relax and get away for a few days. We got some lovely photos amongst all the blooming spring flowers too.
Fantastic house. My guests were very happy with the experience and they will suggest people stay there.
Yurnga was the perfect house for our four day writing retreat: four very private rooms (we rented the bunkhouse as well), for four women, a great galley style kitchen within the open plan living area for the preparation of our evening meals and a cosy wood fire for our discussions afterwards - all of this with Tamborine Mountain's serene backdrop of rainforest, hinterland and ocean. Not to mention the gorgeous Japanese style bathhouse. We discovered two cute coffee shops less than five minutes walk away but most of the time we were more than happy to stay indoors. Excellent coffee was provided and a welcome bottle of wine. Definitely recommended for a restorative and inspirational stay..
We loved staying at Trish's Mt Tamborine retreat for a weekend escape and to attend a friend's wedding at a nearby winery. The house was immaculate, it had everything we needed, the views were stunning and it provided a great base from which to explore Mt Tamborine!
Amazing place to stay! Trish is a wonderful host and it was a pleasure to stay in her home. Recommend to anyone thinking of a weekend away! The house has everything you need and more. Sitting on the deck in the morning with the sunshine on your face and a lovely coffee was just delightful. Thanks so much for having us.
My wife and I had a wonderful time at Tamborine Mountain Retreat. It is an ideal place from which to explore the mountain or just do nothing and let the world pass by. Very private, quiet and peaceful.
