Your hosts, Rob and Aude (and Sienna the "Lover Dog") have been in Flagstaff for 11 years.
They met while both traveling through the United States, discovering the beauty of the national parks for half year.
They lived in England, traveled Europe, lived in Florida for a winter, drove to Alaska for a summer and finally settled down in one of the most beautiful place in the country, Flagstaff.
They love exploring, hiking, swimming (yes we have water) and sharing adventures with others.
Rob is a graphic designer/fabricator for a local sign company, Aude owns her architectural practice where she designs homes for an eclectic clientele.
They would love to have you as guest and listen to your stories and adventures.
We are working professionals meaning no late night party or noise at the house after 10:30pm (that includes no shower past that time)
We always appreciate guests who leave the place the way they would like to find it at their arrival.
If you are a smoker, even if not allowed in the amenities, our yard is big enough for your cigarette break as long as you clean up after yourself.
We are very flexible for check-in and out especially during the weekend.
We will treat you as if you were our friend or family but if you need more privacy, don't be afraid to ask for it.
You are not allowed to feed the dog human food even if she is really good at convincing you otherwise. She has mind power but be strong :-)
Thank you for your respect.
Rob and Aude are wonderful! They warmly welcomed us into their home, shared their stories and gave great advise about the area. They are very knowledgable about Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. They helped us find allergy friendly placed to eat and hikes that were not so crowded on the holiday weekend. We would recommend staying at their comfortable home.
Rob and Aude have a really great home in a fabulous neighborhood on the outskirts of Flagstaff. My mom and I stayed here 3 nights during NAU graduation weekend and had a wonderful experience! Rob and Aude are exceptionally warm and gracious hosts, great conversationalists and all around good people. And as a bonus, their dog, Sienna is a real sweetheart, too!
Upon arrival, we were somewhat concerned about the close living quarters....the guest bedroom is adjacent to the master bedroom. But Rob and Aude are very respectful of guest privacy and they are such down-to-earth folks that it never seemed awkward to be sharing their living space. They really made us feel welcome the entire time. We especially enjoyed sitting around their dining room table in the morning with hot coffee, tasty pastries and great conversation. Their house is super-cool, retro decorated with strong personal touches throughout that give the place such a mellow vibe.
Rob and Aude are very knowledgeable about the area. They pointed us to several great local hikes and restaurants that I wasn't aware of even though I've been visiting Flag for years.
I highly recommend staying with Rob, Aude and Sienna when you are in Flagstaff. You won't be disappointed!
Rob and Aude are incredibly pleasant hosts. Even before we arrived they helped us choose a hike at the Grand Canyon. As soon as we walked in the door, we were welcomed and given a tour of their wonderful home and all of its amenities. After a great conversation with Aude, we were able to make dinner and gratefully fell right into comfortable beds after a long journey. Certainly one of the best lodging experiences I have had.
We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay in flagstaff with Rob and Aude. We were greeted with a comprehensive overview and orientation to the town and surroundings, as well as a glass of wine! The accommodations were comfortable, with a private bathroom, and in the morning we had coffee and lively conversation. Recommended!
Rob & Aude were absolutely lovely!! I hope to be able to go back and stay with them again in the future. They had the best advice on sights to see and how to navigate the Grand Canyon, Sedona & Flagstaff. They were unbelievably welcoming and even prepared coffee for our early morning hike, let us use a backpack, water bottles, hiking sticks, binoculars, etc. It felt like staying with family. Their home is conveniently located central to all of the places I listed above, nestled in a precious and safe neighborhood. Also, their dog Sienna is SUCH a sweetheart!
I can't recommend staying here enough. What a great experience that I'll never forget! Rob & Aude are such sweet souls with a passion for life and travel. Not to mention the home is kept very clean and tidy, and the beds were very comfortable!
Rob and Aude were such a great delight. This was our first experience using airbnb and we couldn't of asked for a better host. They were extremely flexible with our schedule , gave us great local advice and had an amazing pet Sienna. Flagstaff is a great little city surrounded by some of the most beautiful national parks. I hope to return to this city in the future.
I don't think our hosts (Rob and Aude) could I have been more welcoming. They are extremely knowledgeable about the area, and they are more than happy to chat for as long as you would like about how you might wish to spend your time in "Flag". To that end, we visited two places that we would not have even known about without their assistance (West Fork in Sedona and Horseshoe Bend near Page).
They made a point of saying "treat our home as if it is your own", and they lived up to this. We cooked at home one of the nights we were there, and Aude even made us some wonderful French crepes....yum. :))
Their home is very comfortable, but for us, the stay was all about the hospitality, rather than the facilities.
When I go back to Flag again, I will definitely look to stay with them again.
