A place guests return to

Guests keep coming back, with many reviewers noting this is their second or third stay
Nestled in historic Brush Park, known as Little Paris in the 19th century, this charming flat will immerse you in the city’s past while keeping you just steps from its future. Centrally located between Downtown, Midtown and Eastern Market, you'll be in the heart of the city with amazing bars, restaurants, cafes and venues just outside your door. The design-focused space is curated with goods made by local artisans and combines centuries old character with modern amenities.

The space
The Flat is located on the first floor of the mansion. There are two other units on the second floor along with our "Stunning 'Little Paris' Loft" on the third floor (check it out if you're looking for additional space for a group or if your dates aren't available in the Flat!): https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/22369832?s=51

The design-focused space is curated with goods made by local artisans and combines centuries-old character with California inspired midcentury modern touches. The open layout keep things airy and bright.

Heading out to a concert or game? Get the party started with our Marshall bluetooth speaker. Or just Netflix and chill with our 50” 4K Vizio Smart TV (Amazon Prime Video also available). We’ll take care of the snacks – grab a bottle of Faygo pop from the fridge and a bag of Better Made chips.

After a night on the town, our Leesa mattress ensures you'll have a good night's sleep and local Great Lakes Coffee will start your morning right.

If you’re foodies like us, we highly recommend walking over to one of the city’s best restaurants, Grey Ghost, just 5 minutes from the Flat. If you prefer cooking at home, not to worry, the kitchen includes a gas stove, stainless steel appliances, and all the cookware and utensils you’ll need during your stay.

Be a part of Motor City’s renaissance and come see the city for yourself. We think you might be surprised with what you find and fall in love with it, too. J’adore Détroit! See you soon! À bientôt!

Guest access
The Flat is all yours except for a few locked closet doors & cabinets - let the adventure begin!

Other things to note
[GUEST COUNT]
The total number of guests in your reservation applies to anyone accessing the house or apartment during your stay, not just guests staying overnight. This includes children or anyone stopping by for any amount of time for both safety + security purposes. Reservations with more guests than what was booked for will either be charged for the additional number of guests at that time or your booking will be cancelled immediately without refund.

[NO PARTIES]
Reservations that intend to have loud music, heavy drinking or excessive noise will not be allowed and will be cancelled immediately without refund. This is a shared building and we need to be respectful of our neighbors. If noise becomes an issue during your reservation, we will ask once for things to quiet down and will escalate to resolve the issue as necessary beyond that.

[NOISE]
A century-old building does not come without it’s quirks. The walls are a little thin (no fancy sound proofing here) so you can hear the neighbors in the other units now and then. If it becomes an issue, we’ve reached out to the respective neighbor and the issue has been resolved immediately. Just a part of being in a shared building and city living! :)

[QUIET HOURS]
Quiet hours are from 10pm - 8am. This is a shared building and we ask that you be considerate of our neighbors. Excessive noise or disruptions to other guests/residents within the house will be asked once to reduce the noise level and will be escalated from there as needed.

[DAMAGE + INCIDENTALS]
Please treat our home as if it was your own and leave the space as you found it. You, as the booking guest, are responsible for any incidentals, damage or missing items caused by yourself or any one of your guests accessing the home and/or listing during your stay.

[COMMON SPACES]
You're welcome to wait in the first floor parlor for a ride, food delivery, etc but please do not use the space for entertaining or extended use.

[NO SMOKING]
No smoking inside the listing or anywhere inside the property.

[SECURITY]
There are recording devices/security cameras monitoring the property. The cameras are located in the first floor entryway, the second floor hallway landing, and the rear of the house overlooking the gated parking lot. These are all monitoring common spaces of the house and are not located inside any private space of any listing.

[PARKING]
Parking for one vehicle in our rear lot is included in your reservation. There is also metered street parking available between 7am-6pm. After checking-in, we recommend parking your car in the rear gated lot once you have checked in. While the neighborhood is very safe and patrolled 24/7 by private security, there have been break-ins reported in the area, primarily occurring overnight. We, as hosts, are not responsible for any damage or theft that occurs to vehicles parked on the street.

[NO PETS]
While we love pets, our listing includes a shared common space in the house and any pets or assistance/service animals would create a health or safety hazard to you or others (e.g. allergies and pets who are unable to share space with other animals due to a safety concern).
