Interaction with Guests
I live next door to this apartment and I am available if any need anything. I also have a room and bathroom in my apartment that I rent on airbnb, so can accomodate a further 2 people in that space if wantded to be close to family or friends.
I also provide extensive tourist information and details of what to do in the area.
Location, location, location... This is ideal location for exploring everything.
You are 15 mins walk to the CBD (downtown/ main shopping area/ center of city) 10 mins walk down to the harbour/ waterfront, 5 mins walk to the pulsing nightlife of Kings Cross and Oxford St, 15 min walk to Chinatown and the village style hipster hangout Surry Hills.
You are well serviced with transport options. Buses are just 2 mins around the corner and come every 5 mins. King Cross and Town Hall Stations are an easy 10/15 mins walk. The airport shuttle bus picks up and drops off across the road and airport is a quick 20 min taxi ride.
The area is spoiled for really good eating out options from high end fine dinning to interesting celebrity chefs, local bistros and the best hole in the wall style Asian across the road. You can eat well at anytime of day on what ever budget all within walking distance.
I also have some great bars/pubs/wine bars and clubs all with in an easy stagger home to suit all interests.
The area it's self has a lot of character and interest and the locals are a mix of ages/ corporate/ bohemian/ artistic/ gay/ straight/ different cultures all living in harmony.
Bus, Train, Taxis, Airport Shuttle all on doorstep.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is on the top floor with 4 flights of stairs to climb and no lift. It is great for fitness and your legs but can be a challenge for anyone with mobility/fitness problems.
The trade off being in the thick of city living is that you do get general noise outside especially at weekends.
I expect my guests to treat my apartment with respect and look after it as they would their own home.
Though we are based in the heart of the city the block I am situated in is quiet, this is not a party house and we all treat our neighbours with respect.
If it is possible I try and accommodate guests early and late checkins by having them leave their luggage in my apartment next door till the other apartment is ready or they are departing.
Great stay. Loved the location. Thank you Morag for taking our luggage early upon our arrival.
We were a little early but Morag met us and we didn't have to wait long before getting the keys. The Appt is on the top floor and has some nice views either side. Public transport is very convenient and regular. We didn't find the stairs a problem, even if we are in our 50's. Morag was also kind enough to look after our luggage as we had a late afternoon flight. Convenient walk to Woolloomooloo, Potts Point, the City and walking in the parks. Lots of eateries to select from as well. The kitchen was equipped with most things and breakfast provisions. It was tidy and furnished well with a comfy bed, however the floor had not been swept.
Thank you Morag.
We really enjoyed our time in Morag's place -- it's a superb place to stay when visiting Sydney. First, the location is great. Right in lively Darlinghurst, with all sorts of restaurants, shops, etc. It's on the bus lines, but we walked to the Opera House, CBD and other spots. It's also shockingly quiet and leafy, though it's just steps from a busy street. The terrace is great for coffee - a green canopy, privacy and a view of downtown.
Beyond that, Morag's a thoughtful host. The place was very clean and well-equipped. She left us fresh-baked bread on our arrival. We made great use of the coffee machine. And the little details make all the difference -- she has a very extensive guide to the apartment and the area; things like extra sheets are labelled and well-organized.
My wife and I stayed with our two young sons. We took the bedroom, while one slept on the sofa bed while the other slept on the air mattress. Worked great. No problems with Mosquitos either.
Thanks Morag! We hope to be back some day.
The reservation was canceled 2 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Morag was very responsive via email and always acommodated our needs during our stay.

I am originally Scottish but I have made Sydney my home for the last 14 years, I love the city and the country and would not live anywhere else. I am well travelled, I enjoy seeing new things, having new experiences, challenging myself and meeting new people.
I work for myself in the corporate work, which can mean I have long days and I may not be around much Mon to Fri. I have a work hard, play hard attitude and have a varied social life, lots of different groups of friends, always doing something. I am open minded and value peoples differences, though I hate the term, this is a GLBTQ friendly house.
I would describe myself as a bit of a "foodie"; I cook, host dinner parties/ soirees, I eatout and I travel for food. I enjoy the finer things in life, nice surroundings, beautiful clothes/ shoes/handbags, fine wine etc. I love shopping for the unusual from markets to tucked away little shops, designer sample sales to high end boutiques. I am creative, collect contemporary art and enjoy the creative arts.
I am a very warm host and will try to meet the needs of all guests.
If someone wants their privacy and just to have a bed for a few nights and do their own thing that is fine.
If someone wants to pick my brain about what to do, where to go etc that is also fine.
If someone wants to share a glass of wine and tell me about themselves that it also fine.
I also have a little dog, Charlie he is a 9yr old Pomeranian that I have had since he was a puppy, he can gety a little excitable but generally is friendly and very cute.
My life's motto are "Be the best version of you" & " I can do that"
