Interaction with Guests
I live next door to this apartment and I am available if any need anything. I also have a room and bathroom in my apartment that I rent on airbnb, so can accomodate a further 2 people in that space if wantded to be close to family or friends.
I also provide extensive tourist information and details of what to do in the area.
Location, location, location... This is ideal location for exploring everything.
You are 15 mins walk to the CBD (downtown/ main shopping area/ center of city) 10 mins walk down to the harbour/ waterfront, 5 mins walk to the pulsing nightlife of Kings Cross and Oxford St, 15 min walk to Chinatown and the village style hipster hangout Surry Hills.
You are well serviced with transport options. Buses are just 2 mins around the corner and come every 5 mins. King Cross and Town Hall Stations are an easy 10/15 mins walk. The airport shuttle bus picks up and drops off across the road and airport is a quick 20 min taxi ride.
The area is spoiled for really good eating out options from high end fine dinning to interesting celebrity chefs, local bistros and the best hole in the wall style Asian across the road. You can eat well at anytime of day on what ever budget all within walking distance.
I also have some great bars/pubs/wine bars and clubs all with in an easy stagger home to suit all interests.
The area it's self has a lot of character and interest and the locals are a mix of ages/ corporate/ bohemian/ artistic/ gay/ straight/ different cultures all living in harmony.
Bus, Train, Taxis, Airport Shuttle all on doorstep.
Other Things to Note
The apartment is on the top floor with 4 flights of stairs to climb and no lift. It is great for fitness and your legs but can be a challenge for anyone with mobility/fitness problems.
The trade off being in the thick of city living is that you do get general noise outside especially at weekends.
I expect my guests to treat my apartment with respect and look after it as they would their own home.
Though we are based in the heart of the city the block I am situated in is quiet, this is not a party house and we all treat our neighbours with respect.
If it is possible I try and accommodate guests early and late checkins by having them leave their luggage in my apartment next door till the other apartment is ready or they are departing.
The apartment is very spacious - the photographs do not do it justice! Staying there for a week really makes us feel like we are at home, a prime reason we are staying with Airbnb instead of a cold hotel room. Morag left us breakfast in the fridge and a loaf of bread (still warm!), what a gracious host! The kitchen is well equipped, we brought takeout a couple of nights to eat leisurely (and cheaply) in the apartment after out for the whole day. The bedroom is big, has lots of closet space. The bed is comfortable, allowed us to be relaxed and well rest for the next day. The location is excellent, walkable to all the attractions. Using the metro (the Museum and King Cross stations are only 5-7 minutes away) is also very easy for going to other suburbs and the airport. The multi-language information book (the only host whom we have stayed with does that) with description of 'character' of some appliances in the apartment and the neighborhood is very helpful and hilarious - it shows Morag's sense of humor and helpful nature. Morag was unavailable to meet us when we arrived but sent very-easy-to-follow instruction to get the keys (left in a real estate typed lock box). This arrangement actually gave us more flexibility. She, and her beautiful dog, visited us for a couple of minutes one evening just to stay hello and make sure we got everything we needed. Very nice of her! We love Sydney and thoroughly enjoy our time in this great city. We would love to stay with Morag's apartment again when we come back. Thanks again, Morag, your apartment really enhanced our experience!
The apartment is really well located and a short walk to Oxford St. Plenty of room and two nice balconies. There was fresh bread, eggs, juice etc which was a great post hangover breakfast. Overall a great experience!
Lovely apartment with comfortable and warm furnishing, we love the decoration in the house. Located at a great location, me and my friends could just easily walked to the city Eg Circular Quay, QVB, Townhall from the unit. Museum station is just near by as well. Morag is very friendly and helpful. she had provided all we need for the breakfast like coffee machine, toaster, cooking tools, and not to forget the home-baked bread loaf. It tastes so good!Lots of info prepared by Morag in the information folder. Too bad that we spent too little time in the apartment. would be more than happy to stay here again for next visit.
le descriptif du site correspond bien à l'appartement. Il est très bien équipé et bien placé, à proximité du centre.
Morag a été très arrangeante pour réceptionner nos bagages à 8h AM.
Un pain tout chaud nous attendait à notre arrivée.
Everything is nice and looks exactly same in the advertising pics. The host is staying in next door so it is convenient to ask her anything for help. The room is at top level and the apartment doesn't have elevator make us quite tired to drop the luggages. However she prepared for us a yummy bread loaf on our arrival and my mum loved it. Thank Morag for giving my family a warm experience of Sydney accommodation and sorry for our noisy at night time that I think it may affect the room next door :)

About the Host, Morag
I am originally Scottish but I have made Sydney my home for the last 14 years, I love the city and the country and would not live anywhere else. I am well travelled, I enjoy seeing new things, having new experiences, challenging myself and meeting new people.
I work for myself in the corporate work, which can mean I have long days and I may not be around much Mon to Fri. I have a work hard, play hard attitude and have a varied social life, lots of different groups of friends, always doing something. I am open minded and value peoples differences, though I hate the term, this is a GLBTQ friendly house.
I would describe myself as a bit of a "foodie"; I cook, host dinner parties/ soirees, I eatout and I travel for food. I enjoy the finer things in life, nice surroundings, beautiful clothes/ shoes/handbags, fine wine etc. I love shopping for the unusual from markets to tucked away little shops, designer sample sales to high end boutiques. I am creative, collect contemporary art and enjoy the creative arts.
I am a very warm host and will try to meet the needs of all guests.
If someone wants their privacy and just to have a bed for a few nights and do their own thing that is fine.
If someone wants to pick my brain about what to do, where to go etc that is also fine.
If someone wants to share a glass of wine and tell me about themselves that it also fine.
I also have a little dog, Charlie he is a 9yr old Pomeranian that I have had since he was a puppy, he can gety a little excitable but generally is friendly and very cute.
My life's motto are "Be the best version of you" & " I can do that"
