About This Listing
Cozy, bright and clean room in heartily decorated apartment in Miraflores :)
This room is part of a three-bedrooms apartment (3 years old) where I live in. Though small, it is very bright and has everything needed for a comfortable stay: a good bed (one and a half size), an entire closet, a desk, and an additional shelf. It has access to a shared full bathroom and also a half bathroom.
For longer stays:
1 week: $ 180
1 month: $ 490
*Please notice that the room is eqquipped with a ONE-AND-A-HALF BED (1.05 X 1.90cm)
Well equiped kitchen
Towels and bed linen (changed weekly for stays shorter than 1 month)
Interaction with Guests
I usually leave the house in early morning and return around 6-7pm. However, I will always try to give some of my time to make your stay easier. You can also call me by phone in case you need anything.
The apartment is located in a residential area full of parks and four blocks away from the malecón (beachwalk), where people jog, bike, skate or just spend the day watching the sea. Also, 15 minutes walking distance to Parque Kennedy (Miraflores central park). It also has access to popular markets, supermarkets, a lot of small stores. Besides, it is in the center a growing gastronomic corridor in La Mar street, with great (really great) restaurants and coffee shops.
The district of Miraflores, apart from being beautiful and secure, has a very dynamic cultural life, on its downtown (fbars, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, etc.) and on its many public spaces (parks, boardwalk in front of the sea).
The apartment has a a very strategic location for transport. It is close to Miraflores center, to Barranco -the cultural district of Lima-. It is also 4 to 8 blocks distance from to two main avenues (El Ejército and Arequipa) that connect the entire city through bus lines. Also 15 minutes walking distance to Metropolitano, a bus with a exclusive road that is the best way to get to the city center.
Other Things to Note
- I can arrange a taxi pick up from the airport to my house.
**I HAVE ANOTHER ROOM FOR RENT. Please check it on my announcements.
** A description and picture on your profile and an email describing a bit about yourself and about your trip would really help me to take a decision!
1. Kitchen and other common areas are available to use. Please clean after yourself after using these spaces.
2. All bathrooms are equipped with trash cans. I want to let you know that the pipes in Lima are not made to withstand the flushing of toilet paper. To avoid plumbing problems, use the trash cans.
3. Towels and bed linen are changed weekly for stays shorter than 1 month.
Common check in and check out hours of hostals will be applied if it is the case I have guests in the previous day or the day after your stay. (Check in: 1:00 pm. Check out: 12:00m).
We had such fun staying with Sandra! The place is everything it promised: bright and cozy and close to the centre of Miraflores!
Sandra was welcoming from the start make sure we know all the places around Miraflores to visit. The house was warm, bright, with unique and quirky decorations with all the amenities you would need.
The centre of Miraflores was a 20mins walk and the metro bus station is equally close.
MAKE SURE you check out the small market behind the house and the stalls there comes highly recommended (from us)!
Staying with Sandra was terrific - she has a wonderful apartment in a convenient location and does a great job at making you feel comfortable and welcome. There are several delicious restaurants nearby with El Pan De La Chola a favorite of ours for breakfast/lunch. Sandra has an awesome custom Google map of Lima which she has compiled over the years with her personal recommendations for eating/shopping/tourism and is a great guide to the city. All in all a great place to stay in Lima and highly recommended!
Couldn't ask for more: good communication, nice cozy bright room, comfortable bed, clean modern bathroom. Sandra puts a lot of effort in keeping things tidy. Wifi and taxi instructions or on a sheet; she's a pro! The apartment is a couple of blocks from the sea and within walking distance of Parque Kenedy. Too bad I didn't have more time to talk to Sandra about her interesting research work. I'm sure I'll be back!

About the Host, Sandra
I have been living in Lima for 8 years, but I am originally from Cajamarca, a northern Andean region of Peru. I studied Anthropology and I currently work in a research center as an assistant, on issues related to rural societies, social conflicts and development.
I love to travel, but sadly my work and studies don't allow me to travel as much as I would like. My favorite things in the world are mountains and little pretty handicraft.
I believe that small details and gestures can brighten people's days, and this simple principle is my main guidance as a host of the Airbnb community.
