A recommander !
We would have liked to stay longer in Laurent's apartment. It's very nicely located in a narrow lane in the old town, and the balcony even gets some sun at noon in wintertime. I especially liked the flat's typical niçoise style.
This place is very comfortable and very nice place! :-) very close to the beach! And in to the old-town! We can go anywhere very easily! Thank you for your favor! :D
My husband and I spent a month here from early January through early February, 2015.
It was as described – charming, quiet, close to the beach and shopping (lots of good food everywhere). We found the WiFi worked fine for us – uploaded pics every night. The bed was comfortably firm. The stairs ARE steep if you have mobility issues. There was toilet paper there when we arrived, but be aware… From our experience, you should ALWAYS carry your own when travelling.
The balcony was a bit small, but quite usable. Unfortunately for us, it was too chilly to use much of the time, but we did enjoy it when we could. We were a bit intimidated by the gas stove/oven, so did not use it at all.
We needed Laurent on two occasions for minor issues (TV cable and light bulbs). He was always there promptly to deal with it, cheerful and affable. His English is only marginally better than my hubby’s French, but we stumbled through. If you are weak in French, we’d strongly advise a decent translation program, and communicate by email. That’s what we did.

Although Laurent didn't respond to my email in advance of our arrival - he was warm and welcoming when we got there. He was expecting us and it was easy enough just to ring him when we got to the old town and get directions over the phone.
Locality is just perfect for a visit to Nice. In a great position in old town, just 2 minutes from the Cours Saleya - markets, restaurants and shops. Also very close to the Promenade des Anglais - 2-3 minutes on foot.
The flat is very cosy and comfortable.
The only issues were that the wifi password did not work, but we weren't particularly bothered so we didnt get back to Laurent to check it again. The electric oven didnt work either although there was a micro/grill which was sufficient. It would have been better if this had been explained to us as we had a bit of hassle trying to work out what was wrong with the oven before we noticed the bare wire with no plug!
Towels and bedding all provided. Both beds were very comfortable. Bathroom very small but good shower and nice clean towels.
The little balcony off the kitchen was a lovely place to sit for breakfast/evening drink - in earshot of the waterfall up the hill.
Laurent was amazing! The flat is perfect size for a couple or a small family. The location was the best part! Very close to beach, parking and market!
