Interaction with Guests
I recently had a baby (yay!), so I'm now only renting out my room when we are away, so you'll have the place to yourselves.
I live in the area of Cambridge called Romsey, just south of the city centre and rich with diversity and culture as well as extremely convenient for the historic city centre, amenities and transport links. It's pretty great!
Public transport is very convenient from here…the city centre is a short bus ride or a 15-20 minute walk. The train station is a 12 minute walk and the bus station the same. It's about 30-40 minute drive or train from Stansted airport too.
You will be given a set of house keys which must be returned on check-out day.
Check-in/out times can be flexed according to room availability. Please liaise with me about your arrival time as soon as you know it.
This is a 'shoes-off' house as I have lovely oak flooring throughout - please feel free to bring your slippers!
Please don't eat any hot food in the bedroom.
Very good host. Everything was very clean and Ros was very organised. Every detail covered.
Also, a great location for getting to and from central cambridge.
Ros was a very welcoming host and made me feel quite at home for the five days I was in Cambridge - she was also accommodating when I had to leave my bag in the room on the day I checked out (and I was able to collect it later that day with no problems). The room was clean and comfortable, there was a wide range of spreads for toast in the morning and she had a selection of cereals. All in all a pleasant stay. Thank you.
We didn't get to meet Ros personally but she was still an excellent host. She left very detailed instructions before our visit, and her mother came to check in on us, and she was just lovely. The room was comfortable and everything was really clean. Ros has a nice selection of cereals and jams for breakfast, and the location is in a convenient location to the centre, but also close by shopping and pubs. We had a great time in Cambridge, and would recommend staying with Ros for anybody else wishing to visit there.
I had a great stay in Ros'place. The appartment and the room were clean and nicely decorated and it is not far from the city center, with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes around.
Nice breakfast available in the morning.
Ros really make it easy and convenient.
I will surely come back.

About the Host, Ros
I love to travel and have visited over 35 countries. Off-the-beaten track is my thing.
But I love to come home too - partly because I love my home! I live in a 3 bedroom house in a great location with a gorgeous south facing garden. I have extensively developed my home so it's in pretty good shape for when you come to visit.
I provide plenty of information on how to get the best of your stay including local tips on places to go and how to get around.
I look forward to welcoming you to my home and to the great city I live in.
