Sunny two bedroom apartment on private park in historic downtown Troy, NY. Restaurants and attractions easily walkable.

The space
The apartment has a small kitchen that can be stocked to fill all your culinary needs. You’ll have a private bathroom with an original claw foot tub, large window and partial brick exposed chimney.

Bedroom 1: There’s one double bed, it’s a real, fairly new comfortable mattress. The room feels private, but does not have a door. This room is off of the living room.

Bedroom 2: There’s one double bed, it’s also real and a fairly new comfortable mattress. This room has a locking door. It also has a closet, which has an open collapsible shelving unit.

Additionally, there’s a day bed in the living room bay window box, which will sleep another person.
It’s an older building, so it can feel cold. Dress appropriately for winter, and bring extra sweaters or blankets.

Parking: There’s off street parking, and you only need to move your car between 9-12 on Friday mornings. There are usually lots of parking spots available.

Guest access
Keys to the apartment are conveniently located in a lockbox. Internet is available, please contact me if you have any questions.

Other things to note
It’s appreciated if you take off your shoes in the apartment now that the weather is rainy and snowy, thank you.

Location

Troy, New York, United States

The Washington Park neighborhood is a wonderful area, very centrally located, but quiet.

The beautiful early 19th century preserved architecture has been featured in Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence and Al Pacino’s Scent of a Woman. In 2018, Edward Norton filmed parts of Motherless Brooklyn in Downtown Troy.

The downtown is entirely comprised of small businesses. Visitors can sample authentic foods and unique shopping experiences. From the apartment, you’re a short walk away from lively bars and restaurants, Troy Farmers Market, Troy Music Hall and the colleges of RPI and Russell Sage.

In the greater Capital District area, there are fun and easily accessible attractions in Saratoga and Albany. If you love the outdoors, the Catskills and Adirondacks are great for hiking, Hunter and Jiminy Peak are nearby for skiing.

I’m a teacher, artist and traveler. In March 2018, my husband and I bought a 164-year-old brownstone on Washington Park in Historic Downtown Troy, New York. Washington Park is one of two private parks in New York State. We enjoy the cultural and culinary scenes of this vibrant small urban community.
