Amanda and Paul greeted us when we first arrived at the accommodation very kindly! They showed us sound the flat and gave us a couple tips.
The flat is smaller, but functional and the space is laid out well. It feels like you have a lot of privacy. There is tea and some basic cooking supplies to help you cook some meals. The space was cold, but the space heater worked well!
The location was good, in a suburban neighborhood. About a 25 minutes bus ride into the city centre for 2.80 euro. There was a bus stop that is less served only a 5 minute walk and a bus stop that has busses arriving at least every 5 minutes only a 10-15 minute walk away. Also grocery shopping is only a 15-20 minute walk away!
It was also only a 14 euro cab ride to the accommodation from the air port.
I would definitely stay with Amanda again! The room was perfect for a couple or 2 friends who don't mind being in close quarters.
Amanda was very quick to respond and confirm the booking. We got in late due to our flight (i.e. 2am) and she was able to accommodate. Overall, nice and affordable place to stay with a living room, bedroom and kitchenette. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
I stayed at Amanda's and Paul's annex for about three months while I was working in Dublin. They were very nice and welcoming hosts - they even left me a plate of biscuits and fruits and a glass of milk upon arrival. During my stay they were always at hand in case there was a problem. I did, however, enjoy full privacy tucked away to the side of the house and I felt very much at home.
The annex is exactly as described, although the WiFi is a bit patchy at times. It is located in a very safe and quiet residential neighbourhood and the next bus stop is only a five minute walk away. Local train services can be reached on foot in 20 min.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Amanda's and I would recommend it to anyone staying in Dublin, especially if you're staying for a prolonged period of time.
I was happy with my stay at Amanda annex apartment for 10 days, I found it to be comfortable and quiet. In addition to the nearby bus lines I was able to walk to the nearest train station to catch the local DART trains that go into the city center or to nearly tourist spots like Howth (a fishing port town just to the north). No problems, thanks Amanda!
We were very pleased with our accommodations at Paul's place. The apartment was perfect and had everything we needed. The bus station was only a 7 minute walk away (through the park), and took you to center city in 30 minutes.
Paul was very nice and friendly. The apartment had very good tv coverage and was very spacious.
We recommend anyone visiting Dublin to stay with Paul.
