This is an old West coast summer house that was totally remodeled in 2017. It has the most stunning view of the fjord and the mountains with small charming islands in the foreground. The area is perfect for fishing, swimming in the fjord, walks and relaxation.

The space
The house is old and charming and at the same time new and modern. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a Nespresso-machine and all you need for cooking (of course refrigerator, freezer and elec. oven). There are heated floors in the hall and in the bathroom and electrical radiators in the living room and kitchen. We have installed a wood-burning stove so the house can be warm also on cold days. In the basement you will find fishing equipment, a washing machine and a freezer. We have a small boat by the sea that you can use to fish and to get out to the islands. We have a small electric motor for the boat.
At the marina 200 meters away from the house we have a bigger boat - a 19 ft. Yamarin 5920 from 2004 - with a 115 hp. Yamaha engine. This boat you can rent for a daily rent of NKR 600 or for several days (= a better deal). You will have to pay a deposit of NKR 4000,- that will be returned when the boat has been checked and everything is ok. If you are born after 01.01.1980 you need an ICC (International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Crafts) (Norw.: Båtførerbevis). You should have experience in driving this type of boat if you shall rent it.
There is a rather steep hill from the parking place and up to the house that is not meant for driving and the walk up the hill is a bit exhausting with a lot of baggage. We have an internet connection that makes it possible to watch films and TV. We have a TV that can be used with an hdmi-cable (it has a built in DVD). Since we live far away from the place we have some helpers on the island that can do laundry and cleaning. We have to pay them, so if you want to rent bed linen and towels (not bring your own) and have somebody clean the house for you when you leave, you will have to pay extra (Nkr 150,- for bed linen and towels pr. person, and Nkr 650,- for cleaning). Please tell us what you want when you make your reservation.
It is possible to rent the house between October and March. The rent prize will be lower and the minimum stay will be 1 week. In this period there is no wi-fi but it is possible to order if you are interested. The days in November are very short and some periods in winter can be quite cold (with minus degrees), but with the wood burner it is no problem to keep the house warm even though it is not very well isolated.
