LISTED AIRBNB TOP 40 ALL OVER THE WORLD !
Private studio (11sqm) on a 100yrs old houseboat right under the Eiffel Tower, on an outstanding pedestrian pier (Port de Suffren, World Heritage of Unesco). Central, yet very quiet and safe.
The owners of the houseboat also live there, but the two flats are perfectly independant.
The place is not huge (remember, you are on a boat!), but so romantic and cosy, it is like a little love nest on the river.
So what you have ALL FOR YOU is : a private entrance and private deck with table and chairs (perfect for a lunch or a drink outside !), a studio on two levels with a private bathroom (bathtub and shower, with a panoramic view!) and private toilets. "Bunk bed" 120x200, smaller than a regular double but will perfectly suit a couple. Sofa, chairs and tables, Nespresso, TV, WIFI, ipod station. The studio is well heated so comfortable even in winter. Breakfeast equipment, fridge. Extraordinary view (360 °) on the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and monuments.
Private parking (10 €).
Just near by (5/10 minutes walk) : Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Musee du Quai Branly, Trocadéro, Statue of Liberty, Museum of Modern Art, Palais de Tokyo, Grand Palais, weekly farmer markets.
And all Paris at walking distance!
BRAND NEW : IN JUNE 2013, AN AMAZING PEDESTRIAN PATH ("VOIES SUR BERGE") WAS LAUNCHED ON PARIS LEFT BANK, WITH PLENTY OF ACTIVITIES AND CAFES. AND THE BOAT IS RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE PATH !!!!!!!! INCREDIBLY NICE FOR AN EVENING STROLL, A MORNING JOG OR A BIKE RIDE THAT WILL TAKE OU ALL THE WAY TO MUSEE D'ORSAY OR LE LOUVRE.
It was a unique experience to enjoy Paris on the Seine within steps of the Eiffel Tower! While I was in Paris I proposed to my girlfriend and Helene's houseboat added to the adventure. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a romantic hideaway or a little adventure!
Fantastic experience staying on a houseboat, it was cosy and had everything one needed in one area. The location of the boathouse is very close to the Eiffel Tower and restaurants and the cafe culture. The public transport is nearby which makes it ideal location too. I recommend the dinning on a river cruiser - we managed to catch one and it was a great experince and excellent meal. I strongly recommend staying in a houseboat in Paris as it naturally very romantic!
Awesome and unique place to stay!!!
One of the coolest travel experiences we've had. The boat is incredibly easy to get to right off of a major RER stop, which made getting to and from places incredibly easy.
The boat itself it wonderful, pristine as the pictures. Views of the Eiffel Tower from the tub were hilarious as they were inspiring, if you dared to leave the blinds open a tad. Here, you really feel like you are having a unique, Parisian experience.
The bed (which isn't pictured) is in a nook behind the fireplace and is very cozy as you are rocked to sleep by waves on the river. We literally couldn't leave- we extended our stay by two nights! And Helene was more than willing to accommodate our schedule.
If you want a unique, fun, and incredibly enjoyable stay in Paris, look no further.
The host was responsive and friendly. The houseboat is tiny, but in a great location. Make sure you don't take a long shower--we ran out of hot water several days. Overall--we loved to houseboat and highly recommend it. Paris is a great City, even in December!
We had a wonderful and authentic Parisian experience staying on the houseboat! We will remember it forever. We didn't have a chance to meet Helene during our stay but there were travel books and guides for us. She has great taste - the cheese shop and bakery she recommends in her welcome packet are divine!
This is a truly unique Air BNB experience. The houseboat is right under the Eifel Tower and your room is the original wheelhouse and captains quarters. It is snug and cosy and surprisingly quiet despite the constant river traffic and the metro and RER lines nearby. Helene is very helpful and accommodating and very easy to communicate with. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris. Don't miss the nearby Poilane Bakery and try Christine Sherbers jam-delicious.
A fantastic, unique experience in a great location, it felt really special. The only down side for us was that sleeping on the water had the after effect of making us feel like rooms on solid ground were swaying from side to side during the day, and at times felt just a little queasy - but we have no regrets about making the booking. Thank you very much Helene. X
Our stay in Helene's boat was just lovely. The unique location is very special, and also a great base for exploring Paris. Helene is a very thoughtful host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The area feels very safe even at night, and is very handy to shops, cafes and the Metro.
Thank you Helene for a lovely stay, we hope to visit again some day!
