About this listing
LISTED AIRBNB TOP 40 ALL OVER THE WORLD !
Private studio (11sqm) on a 100yrs old houseboat right under the Eiffel Tower, on an outstanding pedestrian pier (Port de Suffren, World Heritage of Unesco). Central, yet very quiet and safe.
The owners of the houseboat also live there, but the two flats are perfectly independant.
The place is not huge (remember, you are on a boat!), but so romantic and cosy, it is like a little love nest on the river.
So what you have ALL FOR YOU is : a private entrance and private deck with table and chairs (perfect for a lunch or a drink outside !), a studio on two levels with a private bathroom (bathtub and shower, with a panoramic view!) and private toilets. "Bunk bed" 120x200, smaller than a regular double but will perfectly suit a couple. Sofa, chairs and tables, Nespresso, TV, WIFI, ipod station. The studio is well heated so comfortable even in winter. Breakfeast equipment, fridge. Extraordinary view (360 °) on the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and monuments.
Private parking (10 €).
Just near by (5/10 minutes walk) : Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Musee du Quai Branly, Trocadéro, Statue of Liberty, Museum of Modern Art, Palais de Tokyo, Grand Palais, weekly farmer markets.
And all Paris at walking distance!
BRAND NEW : IN JUNE 2013, AN AMAZING PEDESTRIAN PATH ("VOIES SUR BERGE") WAS LAUNCHED ON PARIS LEFT BANK, WITH PLENTY OF ACTIVITIES AND CAFES. AND THE BOAT IS RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE PATH !!!!!!!! INCREDIBLY NICE FOR AN EVENING STROLL, A MORNING JOG OR A BIKE RIDE THAT WILL TAKE OU ALL THE WAY TO MUSEE D'ORSAY OR LE LOUVRE.

A wonderful and unique real Paris way to enjoy our three days in this amazing city. Helene was most welcoming and helpful. The boat and location gave us the added pleasure of meeting locals and visitors as we sat outside in the evening enjoying the view. We never felt lonely as many stopped to talk or ask directions. We were sad to leave.
A gorgeous houseboat in a fantastic location with a view of the Eiffel Tower! Check in and out was made very easy and Helene was lovely. The bed was small but comfortable and the small bath was very entertaining! The only downside was that the boat was a little dirty and cobwebby but I imagine that is partly what you expect from a boat as old as this! Thanks for a great stay!
The houseboat was everything we had hoped for. The inside was comfortable and the bunk wide enough for two. I slept like a baby on the mattress. The ceiling fan was very helpful on the hot and humid days we were there. The view of the Eiffel tower from inside the cabin was wonderful, as was the view of the boats sailing by. We enjoyed watching bridal couples being photographed on the nearby bridge. The location of the metro could not be more convenient. I do not know how noisy the RER will be when repairs are completed, as the trains will go very close to the boat. We felt we were in the middle of the Paris experience at this location. If you take Bus 30 or 32 from Gare D'Est or another from Gare du Nord directly to Trocadero, in two metro stops you are at the boat. We would definitely return, even in winter if Helene says the heating is adequate.
The boat was magical! I was discouraged by some of the reviews that complained about the size and state of the boat. I was very happily surprised when I saw it for myself. The two levels provided more than enough space for me; incredibly comfortable! I slept very well on the boat rocking back and forth ever so slightly. Also, check-in was made super simple. The location was perfect for me because it was within minutes walk of the Eiffel Tower, Museum School, bars, and restaurants. At the same time, because it's down on the port, you are isolated enough away from the craziness of the tourists. Helene was so sweet and kind. She went out of her way to help answer any questions about Paris. She gave me directions and informations for different things I was looking for in the city. Living on this boat Is a highly unique and special experience that I would not trade for the world. I highly recommend staying here.
The houseboat was exactly as advertise, with a great location . I can't imagine a better setting to take in Paris and explore the area. Helene was responsive, available and all that was needed in a host. All around a 10/10 experience.
Wow! What an amazing spot on the Siene, just 400 metres from the Eifel Tower. An ideal location for a romantic break. Thank you Helene for a great week, shame we didn't have a chance to catch up x
Lovely experience staying on a house boat. Was a great location and close to all transport and attractions. We really enjoyed our stay.

About the Host, Helene
Very happy to greet you on our houseboat, located right under the Eiffel tower ! This houseboat has been our home for 8 years now, with our soon. In winter 14/15 we will be living elsewhere (we keep the rental of course) but will be back in our unit on July 15 !
AS for us, we love living on the water, it gives us such a great feeling of freedom and uniqueness ! We love to chill out on the deck with friends, relax, watch the boats and the sawns, and enjoy the sunset with a glass of vine from there.
But we are also in love and very busy with Paris urban life, as all the city jhas to offer is so close from our secret paradise.
We have renovated the boat ourselves. It has been since then displayed in many magasine and TV shows, is listed in Louis Vuitton Paris City Guide and rated Airbnb Top40 over the world !
