About This Listing
LISTED AIRBNB TOP 40 ALL OVER THE WORLD !
Private studio (11sqm) on a 100yrs old houseboat right under the Eiffel Tower, on an outstanding pedestrian pier (Port de Suffren, World Heritage of Unesco). Central, yet very quiet and safe.
The owners of the houseboat also live there, but the two flats are perfectly independant.
The place is not huge (remember, you are on a boat!), but so romantic and cosy, it is like a little love nest on the river.
So what you have ALL FOR YOU is : a private entrance and private deck with table and chairs (perfect for a lunch or a drink outside !), a studio on two levels with a private bathroom (bathtub and shower, with a panoramic view!) and private toilets. "Bunk bed" 120x200, smaller than a regular double but will perfectly suit a couple. Sofa, chairs and tables, Nespresso, TV, WIFI, ipod station. The studio is well heated so comfortable even in winter. Breakfeast equipment, fridge. Extraordinary view (360 °) on the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and monuments.
Private parking (10 €).
Just near by (5/10 minutes walk) : Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Musee du Quai Branly, Trocadéro, Statue of Liberty, Museum of Modern Art, Palais de Tokyo, Grand Palais, weekly farmer markets.
And all Paris at walking distance!
BRAND NEW : IN JUNE 2013, AN AMAZING PEDESTRIAN PATH ("VOIES SUR BERGE") WAS LAUNCHED ON PARIS LEFT BANK, WITH PLENTY OF ACTIVITIES AND CAFES. AND THE BOAT IS RIGHT AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE PATH !!!!!!!! INCREDIBLY NICE FOR AN EVENING STROLL, A MORNING JOG OR A BIKE RIDE THAT WILL TAKE OU ALL THE WAY TO MUSEE D'ORSAY OR LE LOUVRE.

Staying on the houseboat was a very unique experience. The pictures are accurate, and the cabin is cozy and rustic. The bed is almost the size of a full size bed (maybe shorter) but the person closest to the wall has to crawl over the other person to get out. The tub is about 1/2 the size of a standard tub, no curtain, but plenty of hot water. There is no ac, so when the weather was cool, the cabin was very comfortable. The deck was our favorite. We had many picnics out there enjoying the view. The location is really amazing. It is a very short walk to get to the train station and you could see the Eiffel Tower from the boat. We have told all of our friends and family about this house boat because it was such a unique, once in a life time experience, we will never forget. Helene made it very easy for us to check in and out, and communicated very clearly with us.
This was my first time in Paris and I figured I might as well stay on a house boat at the foot of the Eiffel Tower! It did not disappoint. I had some difficulty finding the place (and then realized Helene had provided directions from every direction!). It just far enough "off the beaten path" that you won't encounter much foot traffic, but right in the middle of it all so you can walk off the deck of the boat and be staring up at the Eiffel Tower! After a long flight and a stressful week, nothing beats falling asleep to a gently rocking boat either. It was quite the experience and would love to stay again. Keep in mind that this is a boat, so it does smell a bit musty inside. I would recommend packing a few dryer sheets so your clothes don't smell too much when you leave. Otherwise, it was exactly what I needed. Thanks, Helene!
Fantastic few days on the houseboat. Ideally located for all the major sites and cafes bistros and supermarket just a short walk away.
Loved the bath and the little cabin bed and the deco was gorgeous.
The boat totally enhanced our Parisian experience
Only downside is that it could do with a spring clean and needed crockery for 2 people
Although I never personally met Helene she was very helpful with accommodating me. She changed my reservation with no issues when I had a change in itinerary. She also allowed me to check in early so that I could drop off my luggage before going to the French Open tennis tournament.
The houseboat is absolutely adorable and very cozy and clean. It is perfect for a solo traveler.
My wife and I had a wonderful time spending 3 nights of our Honeymoon on this quaint houseboat. The houseboat is charming and in a great location. We spent every night sitting on the deck drinking wine on the seine. It is a 5 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. It is close to the metro station and some very good restaurants.
The houseboat is small but perfectly comfortable for two. I am a tall guy, and I managed just fine.
All in all, we loved our stay, and we would highly recommend it to those wishing to explore Paris and enjoy their evenings with a wonderful view on the water. It was a very special trip made all the more special by our memorable lodgings.
The room is the pilot house of the boat, so it is high and full of light, although of course small. It was a great experience to be on the river. The bed is a mattress in a niche in the wall. Very cozy, but the first person in has no independent way to exit.

About the Host, Helene
Very happy to greet you on our houseboat, located right under the Eiffel tower ! This houseboat has been our home for 8 years now, with our soon. In winter 14/15 we will be living elsewhere (we keep the rental of course) but will be back in our unit on July 15 !
AS for us, we love living on the water, it gives us such a great feeling of freedom and uniqueness ! We love to chill out on the deck with friends, relax, watch the boats and the sawns, and enjoy the sunset with a glass of vine from there.
But we are also in love and very busy with Paris urban life, as all the city jhas to offer is so close from our secret paradise.
We have renovated the boat ourselves. It has been since then displayed in many magasine and TV shows, is listed in Louis Vuitton Paris City Guide and rated Airbnb Top40 over the world !
