Lovely and fully equipped 4 bedroom beachfront house perfect for family. Privacy in nature, very close proximity to the beach and only a 10 minute walk to all the amenities in the fun town of Montezuma.
This beachfront house is perfect for families. On the first floor there is a fully equipped kitchen for making meals at home. There's a picnic table on the front porch to enjoy meals in the fresh ocean air. The kitchen has a door to the laundry room and a quaint outside area with a cement table where you can enjoy the tropical garden. There's a dining room and a living room which has a TV and DVD player. There's also a bedroom and a bathroom on the bottom floor. There are two shared washing machines in the property. One is an automatic washing machine and the other one is more like a camping style washing machine. There's a spiral staircase leading to the second story which has three bedrooms. The master bedroom is large with high ceilings and a gorgeous view of the ocean. It's a perfect spot for your yoga practice! The other two bedrooms have peaceful views of the lush rain-forest.
The front yard offers a large, tree covered area suitable for Frisbee or kicking a soccer ball at the heat of the day. There are hammocks and comfortable seating areas to relax and enjoy the views whether it's the waves, the wildlife or the surfers.
It's a perfect place to venture from whether you're off to hike, surf, snorkel, horseback ride, learn Spanish or do yoga.
Private access to the entire property.
Caretaker is onsite and available if needed.
This property is well loved for the very reasons of having privacy in nature, the very close proximity to the beach and only a 10 minute walk to all the amenities in the fun town of Montezuma.
You can walk along the beach or you can walk on a small, shaded beach road.
You can hike the waterfalls, take yoga classes, go horseback riding, take a boat tour and much, much more. Montezuma is a friendly and healthy community which attracts people from all over the world. Don't be surprised if you bump into someone you know!
There are two markets in town for grocery shopping or any other supplies you may need. Many wonderful restaurants are close by, most notably Cocolores, L'Angolo Allegro, Puggo's and Playa de los Artistos. Small souvenir shops are also scattered along the main road. There are plenty of local artists selling their unique handcrafted jewelry along the street. Montezuma has an active nightlife including a couple of bars that have music. Try to catch the local talent of fire dancing (poi) with the weekly nighttime performances in the middle of town.
Property located on the Beach, 250 m from center. The cottage is located right next to the Ylang Ylang Resort. It isn't even necessary to have a car in this area as everything is very accessible and there's so much to do. We do not encourage driving from the village to the house. It is free to park in town and our caretaker will be happy to haul your luggage in and out.
Next to the house is a cabin and a cottage which is also available to rent. All three accommodations afford the ability to be where the rain-forest meets the ocean, to view beautiful critters, enjoy beach activities, relax with family and friends, get lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves.

Great place! Perfect location! Far exceeded our expectations.
The apartment was clean and very comfortable. Great natural light and the front deck was awesome. Only a couple blocks to Haight Ashbury. Bernat was very responsive and professional. Note: Any extra amenities such as hand soap, dishes, laundry detergent for the machine on the property, etc. were pretty scarce so make sure to bring along your own.
One not-so-great thing:
The kitchen has a back door that leads to a patio and roof terrace. The description currently reads: "Guest Access - You will have access to the entire property."; however, when we went back there to check out the space we were confronted by an extremely rude neighbor, asking what we were doing there and telling us to leave. Extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing! I would not recommend going out the back door!
I am sorry you had this bad experience with the neighbor. We do not advertise the patio/garden upstairs which is clearly part of the neighbor's property. Actually we don't show any picture of that garden/patio on the listing. I am sorry you got confused seeing the stairs that lead to the the shared laundry area also lead to the neighbor's patio/garden. That is also an emergency exit for the unit and the door on the top of the stairs opening the neighbor's patio/garden remains open for that purpose. There is no privacy issue because the back door of the unit located inside the kitchen remains closed.
Great place, great location. Bernat would reply to my emails and address our needs promtly.
The reservation was canceled 81 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This is a great place to stay. The apartment itself is very nice and has a remodeled kitchen. The location is prime for venturing out in the city.
I had a wonderful stay, what a brilliant host fast to reply to emails and a beautiful home!
This place was our home in San Francisco, we enjoyed having the keys to one of the 'typical SF houses' and we enjoyed our four-day stay there.
Bernat was very prompt and efficient in answering my emails, which is a quality I highly value. This apartment is spacious and nicely taken care of. We were meeting up in SF from all corners of the world, one night there were 7 of us and it didn't feel crowded. We used the front living room and its pull-out couch as a bedroom, and still had the kitchen to hang out in together. Two bathrooms allowed for a steady flow in the morning. I enjoyed that every room was decorated with care and that both bathrooms have windows.
The Muni street car conveniently stops right outside and takes you straight to the center of town in 20 minutes. The neighborhood itself is quaint and quiet, and lived in. The organic market across the street has everything you may need. There are a few restaurants and bars in walking distance which is a nice way to begin or end a day - we loved our breakfast at Crêpes on Cole.
Yes, I recommend this Wonderful Apartment Cole Valley, SF.
Bernat's place provides you with everything you need for an excellent San Francisco stay. Close to Mission and Castro with its vibrant cultures, and with excellent connections to all parts of San Francisco. We enjoyed the apartment - it was like being in America! Good food and shops in the direct neighborhood and there is a car park.
Next time we will definitely look for the same place.

Great place to stay! Loved the location and the classic look of the apartment. We would all stay here again!
This is my first Airbnb experience so I really have only hotel experiences to compare it to. My young adult son encouraged me to give it a try. My husband, 18 yr old daughter and I were in SF for a long weekend for a college visit. The apartment in Cole Valley was a great location for us as we did not have a car. The muni light rail train comes right down the street (did not find the noise a problem). I was able to get downtown, to the beach, to the Marina and over to Oakland without any trouble. The neighborhood is great - lots of restaurants and food markets and seemed very safe. The apartment was minimal and fairly impersonal but we were fine with that as we didn't want a place that was someone's home. Everything worked and was clean. The bed was comfortable for middle age bodies. The check-in instructions were clear and complete. Bernat was responsive and flexible with our requests. After spending a few hours with the tourist crowds downtown I was very glad we made the decision to stay in an interesting SF neighborhood.
