About This Listing
Located in Glyfada, the closest beach town to Athens, the 120 square meters (1,291 sq. feet) apartment is within a 25 minute metro ride from the Parthenon and a mere 5 minute walk to the beach. It caters to travelers eager to experience classical Athens and its monuments - without the hustling and busting of a downtown stay – while enjoying a morning or late afternoon dip in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea.
The house was built by my grandfather in the 1950s, and has undergone since two thorough renovations. It offers all 21st century amenities and its craftsmanship and details exuberate class in an unassuming manner. Two separate bedrooms, a spacious living area with an open plan kitchen, two bathrooms, a front porch and a shared backyard orchard can easily accommodate four people or even five in some cases. A ping pong table and a BBQ can make a lazy day at the house quite eventful.
And yet, it shall be a serious omission to overlook the shopping offerings of Glyfada. There are choices for all purses, from designer stores to middle of the road mom & pop stores which make a shopping trip to downtown Athens redundant.
For the more adventurous the numerous beach towns to the South of Glyfada can serve as a one day excursion, and thus making the pilgrimage to the Temple of Poseidon, located in the southernmost tip of Attica a 30 minute drive, an unforgettable experience.
Having dinner at a monastery dining table surrounded by the citrus backyard orchard, and shaded by grapevines is the perfect ending of a long day spent by the sea or visiting the Acropolis. I would be more than eager to host you at my family home and make sure you will have a memorable stay.
At an extra cost I can arrange and organize:
Pick-up and drop off from and to the Athens airport
Drive to nearby beaches and lakes
Tours of Athens by real experts
"Act only on that maxim whereby you can at the same time will that it become a universal law."
and if this is not enough, then:

After staying at a nearby hotel in a room of 2 by 5 meters, it was a blessing that Constantine replied straight away and we could transfer from the hotel to his place. Quite a big change! In the same area with a lot of shops and restaurants, but 10 times as big and 10 times more free. A patio in front of the house and two bedrooms, twice the size of the hotelroom. For exactly the same amount as we would have paid in the 2 by 5 room. Thanks Airbnb, thank you Constantine!
We were received by the host with great hospitality and assistance. We were prepared with plenty of advanced information via email. Upon arrival we had personal assistance with getting moved-in and situated... above and beyond expectations.
The apartment was as-advertised: everything was clean, neat, modern, and very functional in a relatively spacious home by Greek standards. There was an abundance of art adorning the walls, and a mix of modern, as well as antique furniture throughout. The yard nicely kept and small balconies and patios were delightful places to enjoy outdoors.
The location was central Glyfada. We were in walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and a myriad of coffee shops that woke up at night. It's a great location if you like to be in the quiet oasis of a beach town with the benefit of having lots of hustle and bustle a few streets away where hundreds of people and cars are buzzing with excitement to all hours of the night.
Very nice host. Eric and Deppy R just perfect hosts. The appartment is great, WIFI works (almost) perfect. If there R problems (e.g. the TV), they R solved very quickly. A lot of info about ATH, Glyfada and Attica.
My husband and me stayed in Costantine house it was really a very good experience we usually stay in 5 stars hotels , at first my husband refused to book a house but when we stayed there he liked the place very much and wanted even to ask costantine if he can sell it for us , many thanks costantine
Of the many places we stayed during our three weeks in Europe, this was by far the best! The home is so beautiful and comfortable. The photos show it very well, but really, it is so much better in person. Huge kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom and everything you could possibly need for your stay. We were greeted with wine, jams, bread and a few necessities in the fridge - and by our warm hosts Eric and Depy. On our first night, Depy walked with us for a bit in town to show us how to find our way - very nice! I loved being away from Athens in a quieter area near the sea, but to be close enough to downtown that we could go in when we wanted to. Really just a perfect stay! I highly recommend it!
Classy beach house was in a lovely neighbourhood close to all the classy shops of Glyfada and wonderful beach club Eric directed us to. Eric welcomed my family with a selection of breads and pies, jams, honey and home production olive oil and wine. The house and gardens are wonderful, very tasteful and at the same time homely. Everything was perfect, we will certainly stay here again when we visit our new Greek family in Athens. Thank you for a truely lovely time in your gorgeous home.
Constantine was extremely helpful in setting up for our stay. Eric, who actually hosted us, was great. Lots of great tips for restaurants and wine pics and overall VERY generous with his time. The home was extremely clean, comfortable and relaxing. We really appreciated the fresh pastries and bread waiting for us when we arrived. The full kitchen was ideal as we didnt want to go out all the time... especially for morning breakfasts.
The location is ideal as a hub for your Athens travels and the local neighborhood has many cafes and restaurants to chose from.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
